BBC website says Clinton Woods gets to try to become IBF champ again in Sheffield. Apparently the fight will be in late Feb 2005.

I want to wish Clinton Woods good luck, and Hoye not a big chalange like most people say. He have only good punch that is all, if Woods a good boxer he will frustrate Hoye all night.

Woods can win this, but Hoye is a huge puncher by all accounts. I hope I'm wrong but Woods might get beaten here. Johnson is not a huge puncher at light heavy but he hurt Woods several times if Hoye connects cleanly it could be his night.

This is Woods best and maybe last chance of winning a World Title, if he wins surely a big money match with Joe Calzaghe is a strong possibility?

Hoye has massive power in that right hand, but his camp say they will stop Woods via body shots. Either way i see Woods getting stopped, Hoye i think is just a little hungrier. Woods will have to wait for his next world title shot because i don't see him winning this one.

Bubi, we'll have to agree to disagree - I want to believe you that Edrei is a star and I was very impressed with him when he eat Gonzales. Since then has been very average. Surely you scored his fight with Garray to the Argentinian challenger. How does this make him the best in the devision? Shouldn't it be Garray then?

I to hope Johnson vs Edrei happens though, although on recent form I would tip the Jamacian.

The jury is very much still out on Erdei as far as I am concerned. Good performance winning the title but Gonzalez himself can blow hot and cold and I think the win over Dariusz flattered him as that was not the same guy in the ring that made all those title defences. I'd favour Johnson to beat him if they faced off, but I think he's contracted to a rematch with Tarver.

Two close fights against the undisputed No.1 in the division though. It's not like he was shellacked by Johnson, either time. Johnson's win against Tarver makes Clinton's performances against him look pretty impressive. Yes, it's bullshit that the champs were stripped and we have vacant belts, but I think calling Woods a habitual loser is harsh. He's showed he can mix it with the top guys in the (admitedly weak) division.

But He did lose all his previous attempts though didn’t he, and who has he beaten who is world class?
Johnson got robbed first time, and to be honest Johnson will never ever be rated in the top 20 best lt-heavies in history will he.
Sure he`s the best in the division, the best of a bad bunch..real bad bunch, so much so Calzaghe would have a better than average chance of beating Johnson.
Johnson and Tarver away from their good wins over a washed up Roy Jones have achieved little to prove their worth.

And Jersey Joe needed a few chances before getting lucky, but who has had as many chances in the lt-heavy division.

Erdei is slick and awkward but nothing more, he has looked poor since beating Gonzalez and done nothing of note...Johnson i think would be way too much for him, on neutral ground of course

Do you know how much the tickets to the big German shows are, Bubi? I'll likely be in Budapest/Prague sometime next spring and it would be nothing to hop into Germany for a weekend show. I would likely arrange my whole trip around such an event.

In fact, how much dearer would it be travelling (with ryanair, etc) to Germany, than it would be getting the train down to Manchester... WOULD it be dearer? Makes you think...

Nice one. I'm really tempted to go to the Light-Heavyweight card on Feb 26th for the return of the Tiger, but Eastman-Hopkins is the previous weekend. Should Eastman beat Hopkins it will be all good, but if Hopkins devastates him (as I predict) then that sets up a Trinidad return, which I absolutetly must witness live. Bit of a dilemma now on which to splash the cash on.
