He's due to take part in the Golden Contract semi's on Friday but he's also down for a British title defence against Reece Mould little over a month later. Anyone any idea what the drill is here? Surely that must be a mistake?

Probably depending on the result. If he makes the final probably drop the belt if he loses he still can get a payday holding the British title. If he didn't have it probably goes back to mid 4 figure paydays.

I think Frank W won the purse bid (it's a mandatory) and has told the board it will be on that show.

Whether Walsh actually intends to defend is up for debate.

Bizarre of the board to insist on Walsh making the defence when they knew he had signed up for the Golden Contract - and could end up fighting and defending against Dickens or Wood, both of whom would be more deserving challengers than Mould.

I seen something the other day that when Walsh's British title reign started, Josh Taylor had 1 pro fight, Joshua/Bellew/Groves/Fury/Crolla had yet to win world titles, Haye was in his first retirement and Kevin Mitchell was still active
