"Dillian Whyte not pleased with Eddie Hearn pushing for Fury-Joshua fight"

Whyte believes he’s earned the right to get the next shot at Fury’s WBC title.

With the WBC heavyweight title now in the hands of Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte might expect that his promoter Eddie Hearn go to bat for him to get him his long awaited shot at the title, with him holding the WBC’s #1 contender position. Well, Whyte would be wrong.

Hearn is instead much more interested in staging an undisputed heavyweight title unification between Fury and his cash cow Anthony Joshua as soon as possible — something Whyte himself isn’t too keen on. So when Hearn took to Twitter to immediately float the idea of Fury-Joshua this summer, Whyte couldn’t help but to chime in.

And while Whyte may continue to maintain his mandatory challenger position with the WBC, the sanctioning body isn’t exactly fast tracking the fighter to his world title aspirations with Whyte currently expected to wait his turn for another full year. Whyte probably hoped his promoter would advocate for him a bit more, though. Oh well...

No sh*t, that Whyte would like his shot right away instead of waiting some more. And holding "we are sorry"-trinket ain't doing it for him.

The winner of the third bout of the Fury-Wilder trilogy won’t be obliged by the WBC to face Dillian Whyte until February 2021 (4½ years after the 'The Body Snatcher' won his first WBC eliminator, 3½ years after he became the WBC’s highest-ranked contender and 20 months after achieving mandatory challenger status).

However, if Eddie Hearn’s claims to Sky Sports comes to fruition, then the winners of Fury-Wilder III and Joshua-Pulev will face each other before the end of the year, likely engaging in two or three back-to-back bouts.

And if that happens, the likes of Usyk and Whyte won’t be challenging for the world title anytime soon, unless the belts are somehow vacated.

The most profitable fight(s) for Matchroom and Top Rank, would be to pit AJ against Fury, but this would be to the detriment to the other world-rated heavyweights within their stables.

Fury has also said that he'd face Whyte if Wilder doesn't accept the rematch, but we know he will (plus Fury is not to be believed about this story of stuff).

Whyte should probably just STFU as literally nobody on the planet wants to see him fight Fury more than Joshua. Nobody cares that you won the corrupt ABC mandatory lotto.

I would be mad too if I was him. Guy has been waiting forever for this shot.

Story of Boxing these days. Everybody plays the waiting game. Including the fans.

Whyte has every right to be frustrated as he has done more to earn his shot than the vast majority of world title contenders.

But, a Wilder rematch or unification vs AJ have to take priority over Whyte's mandatory. Deep down I'm sure he accepts that.

Yes Dillian deserves his shot no question about it but he's doing ok as it is. I'm thinking he has probably made more money than Wilder has with his PPV appearances and he has a better resume than many people who have held a world championship belt.

Does he even need some trinket or bauble from a corrupt bunch of chancers anyway? Sure it would be nice to have official recognition in the historical record but if he continues to be deprived of his due he can still have a fine career. I applaud the fact he has a bit of a moan about the way he's been treated and then just gets on with it. If anyone can claim to be a champion without a be!t it's Dillian Whyte.

Have Dillian's drug test issues been resolved?

Yes VADA never had an issue with his Rivas test. UKAD did but they have now fully exonerated him from any wrongdoing.

Whyte has every right to be peeved.

Unfortunately for him, he's not box office like Fury and Joshua.

I don't know what he can do to change that.

His only hope is for the belts to become fragmented and maybe he can then pick up a trinket and then the major players will then have to come to him.

..to be honest, I don't care less when/if a doper gets occasionally sidelined..

Dillian Whyte received a disingenuous offer from Eddie Hearn to face Anthony Joshua. The sum was less than the purse ‘The Body Snatcher’ received for the Chisora rematch and significantly less than amount Miller/Ruiz Jr. received from Matchroom.

I can’t recall an instance when Dillian Whyte received payment to step-aside. And I can’t find one either.

Dillian Whyte's next fight against Alexander Povetkin will be the fifth PPV event he's headlined.

He's not as big a name as Fury and Joshua though, but in commercial terms he's no small fry either.

In fact, prior to Wilder's first bout against Fury, Whyte was considered a much bigger financial draw than the American.

The Whyte-Chisora rematch attracted 532K PPV buys. 'Del Boy' allegedly offered Dillian £5m for the fight, which roughly equates to $6.5m USD.

And Eddie Hearn didn't refute Dillian's claims about the purse he received for this bout was greater than the sum he was offered to face AJ.

The Matchroom boss also conceded that Jarrell Miller and Andy Ruiz Jr. were both offered bigger purses to face AJ around the same timeframe.

Also, Luis Ortiz rejected $7m and I believe that Ruiz Jr. was paid that sum for the first AJ bout.

I just feel that, due to the DAZN's contractual demands, Matchroom wanted an American-based opponent for AJ when he made his debut on US shores. And the offer they made to Dillian was simply a token political gesture to allow them to claim to the media they had at least tried to make the fight, since they never bothered to provide an improved secondary offer.

Unless the belts are vacated, Dillian Whyte will probably have to wait until 2022 until he’s granted an opportunity to challenge for one of the world titles.

The winner of Fury-Wilder III will prefer to face Anthony Joshua rather than accepting smaller purses to face any of the big-name title challengers.

In the same video he also claims that Luis Ortiz rejected three offers to face him, so did Andy Ruiz Jr. twice and Manuel Charr also turned down the fight.

cant blame whyte for being pissed off with he delay and now a new version of it to be added on , but the public want to see AJ v Fury and not Whyte V Fury so its tough titty !
