Doesn't surprise me.
Arum wants to wring as much spare change out of these two whilst it is possible to do so.
He doesn't want Fury to disappear again, or go off fighting the likes of Joshua in a superfight.
I personally don't want to see a third fight as I just can't see how Wilder ever beats Fury, but they'll keep putting it on whilst they can make money I suppose.

Wilder has told ESPN that he will "definitely" invoke the rematch clause. It's already a foregone conclusion that we'll see a third bout.
I thought the date for the third fight had to take place before the end of July though, but I guess Fox, ESPN, Top Rank and the PBC will be open to moving the date according to whenever suits them.

Of course, Wilder will tell to the media, that he wants the 3rd bout, but it's definitely not in his team's plans and he understands himself well, how it will end.

I'd be surprised.
Wilder at his best couldn't beat Fury who arguably wasn't quite ready when they first fought in 2018.
Fury was at his best for the rematch and completely dominated Wilder and Deontay hasn't stopped making excuses ever since.

Good question.
The answer is no, because Fury is not reliable.
We all know what happened after he beat Klitschko and it wouldn't surprise me if disappeared for another two years.
He's already got his father urging him to retire.
Saying that, if he fights again this year and he's at his best, he easily beats Wilder again.

Timing doesn't change the fact that AJ has two mandos to fulfill in the interim. Fury/AJ early 2021 unless there is some miracle turnaround in Wilder's skillset and/or Fury let's himself go to shite.
