Probably BJS wants around 10-12 M's.

That's a lot of money, if BJS gets too greedy he may miss out on the fight completely and end up fighting Andrade in a snorefest for a fraction of that.

..as long as the laws of supply and demand allow it and boxing fans are prepared to pay for it watching the dopers, they'll keep demanding it..common sense

There are good money but I think BJS want's to sell his 'o' for more money. He knows that he has no chance to get the win against Canelo. On the other hand BJS isn't a very known fighter or an exciting one to watch and also his resume is poor-ish. I wonder how BJS would approximately earn vs Callum Smith ?

Tbh I'd like to see this fight. BJS is somehow hyped as a fighter that could give Canelo some trouble.

I’m pretty sure BJS will think he can get the win against Canelo, he’s an undefeated champion in his prime and with that comes a winning mindset, I’m sure he’ll know it won’t be easy and that there’s a risk of losing but he’s not weak minded enough to think he’s selling his 0

It's a good offer. And if he won, he'd get double in a rematch.

Jacobs earned $10m.
Sergey Kovalev earned $12m
Billy Joe Saunders, who will definitely generate PPV sales in the UK (at least $20m via Sky Box Office if it achieves more than 600K sales), is allegedly only being offered $7.75m.
For sure, the sum being offered is in the right ballpark and definitely not a lowball offer, but the Brit might be able to get a little bit more, because we’re only nine weeks away from the Cinco de Mayo fight-date and GBP have left things to the last minute.
A full training camp is needed and Canelo's handlers are running out of viable options.
Saunders is also technically more accomplished than Jacobs was at the time of the American's own bout against Canelo.

BJS isn't worth more than that, but Canelo must be desperate to get somebody decent for the May date, so BJS may keep negotiating.

Jacobs and Kovalev are better names and more proven fighters with better resumes than BJS. 7-8 M's offer is a fair one.

It's a very good offer considering BJS's resume and profile. Well, they need a good opponent asap.

I'm not so sure about that EO.
He really doesn't have that big a following. It's a case of the more you see of BJS, the less you want to see of him, and he is what the British would call a "knob". He is on a par with Hughie Fury as far as stinking the joint out. Canelo is the draw card more than BJS in the UK would be my guess. And expect booing from the second round onwards

He should take it or leave it. If I were Canelo I'd go straight up after Bivol and forget about these 160-168lbs cheap 'divas'.

I hope it comes off.
Not expecting to see any drama but it should still be interesting to see just how far Saunders has to outbox the flailing Canelo to secure a draw.
Two drug cheats both at the top of their game - one knows he can't lose and the other certain there's more money to be had here.
And he's right.

Canelo is infinitely better than Lemieux though, BJS hasn’t got much of chance

I think BJS has a great chance Vs canelo myself I though kovalev was winning quite comfortably and if there's any remotely fair scoring I wouldn't be shocked if BJS won canelo is great against static fighters but has looked bad Vs movers like BJS

Everyone else was hitting younger G more too. Willie Monroe hit GGG way more than Lem could, so did everyone else. Lol Monroe did better vs Saunders than Lem too, judges had that like 116-112 and 116-113 or whatever. Murray, Adama, Geale, etc...all hitting GGG plenty when they threw. Whereas Lem seems to turn everyone into masterclass boxers
