Per the barb.co.uk official viewing figures here are the top ten viewed Sky fights for 2004. This is only for live domestic fights and excludes the Hatton/Williams/Klitschko/Tyson PPV's. I have also only listed the headline fight.


The last figure is where the programme ranked for the week compared to other sky sports 1 programmes:

3. Fri 10pm 22/10/04 Calzaghe Vs Salem 320,000 views (5)

4. Fri 10pm 1/10/04 Hatton Vs Stewart 290,000 views (6)

5. Sat 8pm 3/4/04 Hatton Vs Pedersen 250,000 views (5)

6. Sat 8pm 24/4/04 Skelton Vs Sprott 250,000 views (7)

7. Sat 8pm 24/1/04 Sprott Vs Williams 210,000 views (4)

8. Sat 8pm 7/2/04 Skelton Vs Francis 200,000 views (6)

Looking at the figures for other programmes I reckon only Football, Cricket & Rugby are more popular than boxing...this is probably the reason for no big match-ups.

Good on Skelton though, I didn't realise how popular he was...it proves there is good money to be made for a Audley Harrison fight.

Shocked about Scott Harrison but the Abelyan fight clashed with a big international rugby match.

thoses are poor figures compared to the eubank days.

I don't trust the barb ratings, only about 200,000 people have a barb box and 1 person accounts for 200,000 people. They only include England as well and not Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
