How to increase PPV sales - ideas?

There must be a way to make PPV broadcasts more attractive;
1. Lower the price to hopefully increase sales
2. Stop all adverts during a PPV show
3. More PPV only access to weigh ins etc - therefore encouraging people to invest for the full fight week experience
4. Have an annual fee that includes at least 'X' number of PPV shows per annum
5. A boxing only channel in line with immediate above (4)
6. Screening of small hall boxing shows for 'free' in line with above (5)
7. A 3 or 4 tiered PPV system with grading of 'main events'
Any more ideas fellas?

Better fights. Hard to get excited about the many total miss matches that boxing constantly produces.

Exactly, that is the root of the problem, which needs fixed on aglobal scale, no one entity that exists today is able to fix the situation.
Boxing needs to look at the UFC model. That does wonders for MMA, i'm really digging their shows.
Less weight classes. One champion per weight class. Best fight the best, continuosly. Brilliant. Exactly what us fans want. Apply something similar to boxing and it should be a winner.
Haymon seems to have tried it with PBC, but its not done the trick. Still too many weight classes and too many titles.

Make the PPV a whole show. Not just the main event. The undercard does not have to be all title or eliminator fights- just close to 50/50 matchups. Then you can get your mates over and make a night of it. I've seen better next gen shows than PPV, baubles matter less than close competitive battles. Im sick of an 18-0 fighting a 12-8 on a televised PPV undercard

Realistically, putting on some YouTube/Insta 'famous' dudes who we all sh!t on prob would do more to boost sales than putting on some good fight for the hardcores would

There are only two ways; either dramatically increase the quality of shows, notably main events; or dramatically lower the price.
Simple as that.

They should offer a no frills PPV experience for those on a tight budget. The exact same broadcast as the full PPV but as soon as a fight starts you get a photo of the action every 20 seconds. The commentary continues as normal with the full live broadcast resuming at the final bell.
Sounds wacky but more people are turning to radio for big PPV event plus I've persivered through streams worse than this

Charge £5. Someone will buy it

The target audience for PPV is not the hardcore boxing fan or knowledgeable boxing fan. We mean nothing. The cards are built on hype and storylines.

Someone else on boxrec suggested earlybird discounts and can't help but think it's a good idea.
. Like if it's 20 quid full price, make it 10 quid up untill 1 month away, and 15 quid up untill fight week.

If they can find a way of blocking all illegal streams I might be forced into buying a couple.

The idea of PPV does'nt actually bother me , after all its a user pays system and i suppose thats fair enoug if you want to watch a AJ -Fury fight ... ,,,,,,, Regards the price i suppose that depends on how much you want to watch has opposed to streaming and risk it going down halfway through .
What does piss me off is i already pay for foxtel / sky and if i want the ppv they want me to pay again ,,, for that they can get stuffed i have o intention of ever paying twice ,,, so really who cares if they lose sales , they should stop smacking everyones ass ,, , Whats wrong with non subscribers to sox or sky , paying the 25 quid , 60 dollars whatever for a once off , and just charging people who already subscribe a small fee say 5 quid or 10 dollars that would be fair for the nmega fights , but your Dillan the drug cheat i'm ppv worthy fella ...... Naaaw i'd never pay anything to see him fight Brown , or gatekeeper Chisora , they should be free to people who have paid once already

Have every single fight card PPV. But no monthly sub for sports like football. I just pay for what I want to watch.

How did you guess?.... Matchroom are full of employees in North Cyprus.
Actually.....Im not concerned about PPV sales, not one iota...I dont give a shi1t........I go fishing.
Im interested in how they can increase sales by improving the product. Therefore attracting more fans and viewers.
And before the do gooder anti streamers start.......I don't have a choice here in TRNC. Ordinary Sky is not available, its all IPTV.

Yes I said this on another thread, I'd happily pay 9.99 early, for me its a fairly reasonable price point. I think it would attract more interest, charge too much and people look elsewhere.

Easy way to increase sales is to decrease the cost...
How to increase profits is totally different beast...
Here are my thoughts on the pricing...
I almost never buy PPV fights.
Main reason is they are way too expensive. I got too many uses for my hard earned cash.
I was thinking about how much I would be ready to pay.
For your run of the mill fights... Voluntary defenses and other miss matches. Like Wlad vs Pianeta. AJ vs Breazeale. DDD vs Fujimoto. Wilder vs bum of the month. I would pay 5$. For good quality broadcast this would be reasonable in my mind.
For the regular good fights like Whyte vs Parker. AJ vs Martin. Helenius vs Kownacki. Fury vs Chisora. Wilder vs Stiverne 1. I would pay 10$ and be happy about it.
For the super fights like Wlad vs AJ. Aj vs Ruiz 2. Fury vs Wilder and so on I would pay 20$.
With these prizes I would watch and pay for many many fights.

A main event between genuine stars, then competitive & important undercard fights is the minimum.
No adverts every five seconds if I'm paying extra for the show.
Maximum of £15.
Although I like the suggestion a few have made they'll never grade PPV fights & charge accordingly because that's admitting that the next PPV they're trying to hype as the most important show ever isn't up to much.
However, the truth is myself and most of the posters on here aren't really the target audience for most PPV shows anymore as the casuals just need a few names they recognise regardless of the quality of their opposition & maybe some manufactured "beef" between the main eventers & they'll be handing over their cash.

Ah was that you, I actuly think it's a great idea.
means that if you decide to buy it any day a while out you lock yourself in. Commited before you realise you might have other plans or before you make other plans, or can't really afford it or its not realy worth it... Just takes 1 brief moment you decide, fornicate it I'm getting it.
Best thing is it would help create more boxing fans I think because you book early you will have time to organise a barbecue with mates or something around it..
