2-) Joe Louis
3-) George Foreman
4-) Larry Holmes
5-) Lennox Lewis

Another old interview, I couldn't find this in here either. What do you guys think? (R.I.P E.S, Respect)

Funnily enough I was thinking about my own top ten Heavyweights today and that was my top 5 only I had Holmes and Foreman the other way round.

Certainly not an unreasonable list.

Not at all, the honorable mention is another with Tyson over holy that is factually just wrong.

Steward himself forged the greatest.

I have Larry Holmes at clear #3, Foreman at #4 and Marciano at #5. I don't like Rocky but his achievements have to be respected. Ali and Louis are unqestionably first two in my opinion

Just the top five I commented on. Didn't take note of the honorable mention. Holy over Tyson is accurate.
Yes, agreed with you. Perfectly fine list, honorable mentions tr as h.

I agree the Top list is pretty reasonable. I know some people would not have Foreman at #3, there a lot of guys you could go with. However you have to pick someone. Foreman is who I have there as well, though it's certainly debatable.
His honorable mention list is terrible. One ridiculous pick and not having Johnson, Holyfield and Frazier is just silly.

Not to mention wlad top 9!
Edit: obviously that's the ridiculous pick you alluded too. I've honestly tried to bend over backwards with him because I hate him, but unlike someone like Leonard I hate whose resume is above reproach wlad never beat anyone. I can't give him better than top 25.

Lol.. holyfield lost to moorer and bowe mercer was a contender and foreman 78 , spinks ,Briggs, Thomas, berbick, tucker all better than mercer ...
Lol, why didn't you just warn me that you don't have a clue?
More of a clue than you obviously .. thinking mercer was better than spinks or Ruddock

I know the difference between Briggs and Biggs and it's pathetic you brought up either.

I have Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, and Evander Holyfield third. I realize it's debatable, but that's how I rank them.

I'd have Holyfield 4th, with Holmes at #3, but Holmes and Holyfield are neck and neck. Same with Louis and Ali. You could switch out 1 and 2, and and switch out 3 and 4 any way you want it, but those guys are the Top 4 to me.

I think Tyson's win over Tucker is better than Holyfield's wins over Moorer or comeback Foreman
As for Mercer he lost to Jesse Ferguson and a 42 year old Holmes.

I guess Tyson win over Tucker is debatable. He wasn't particularly impressive in that fight. Tyson and Holyfield did have quite a few other fights.
For starters, Holyfield did win the head to head against Tyson He also beat Buster Douglas, who beat Tyson.
Mercer did lose to Ferguson and Holmes. He also beat Morrison. If he would have got the decision over Lennox Lewis, his standing would be much higher.

His top 5 is fine but Wladimir as an honorable and Tyson there and no Frazier or Holyfield seems a bit wrong.
Holyfield was never a dominant champion and maybe that's what causes him to fall down the list but stretch his career out and what he got crammed in there and he's arguably a top 5 guy.
My personal top 5 would probably be: Ali, Louis, Holmes, Frazier, Lewis with Marciano, Holyfield, Liston, Foreman and Johnson being my honorable mentions.
