Agree with this re Chisora. Very good with the media. I’m probably in the minority but I like Haye. Passionate about the sport and comes across knowledgable on YouTube interviews when he’s away from the Sky promo business.

The fight is unlikely to go ahead as planned anyway.

Back then haye was the business. Then it all went wrong, cancellations, weird excuses, injuries, started talking too much, the fact he was just an awkward size and unsuitable style for heavyweight.

I was a proper fan and watching him live was fantastic. I went to Maccarinelli, Barratt, Chisora; I remember a lot of people who weren't even interested in boxing getting excited for Valuev, and the World's End in Finsbury Park being so full for the Klitschko fight my mates couldn't get in.

As a cruiserweight and early on as a heavyweight before he made money he seemed very quick and dangerous. I met him once and he definitely had a fighter's aura. Ultimately once he'd spent all his money and came back he ended up being embarrassing to be associated with. A waffler and a conman, he's a tacky guy who thinks he's classy, just sort of a bit lame. Like a human version of a white stretch limo SUV.

Ya, back in the day, maybe like 2008-2010 before the Klit fight, dudes all around were fighting to be the one to pull out his last drop. He had a legion of acolytes and he was to be the hero. It wasn't just regular fanboi-ism, it was like a popular movement with a loved leader and a deeper cause. Then he proved to be even lamer than the big stiff idiot, at least on that night.

TBF, he had some very fun/explosive moments in his career, but it is a huge contrast between his reputation then and now. I actually think he would've beat Vitali around that time, Vit was very creeky and slow back then and not nearly as good as his bro.

I've always been a fan of the Hayemaker. He was dynamite as a cruiserweight and did transition to HW well too, he just couldn't get inside Vlad's reach effectively no disgrace in that. His late career was a damp squib, by that time he was a part-time celebrity fighter though.

That pretty much sums it up. He was able to slip Wlad's punches and negate his power but was never able to get the mid-range he needed to land anything effective before Wladamir leant all over him. Him and Booth talked about having a game plan for Wlad's leaning but when it appeared the game plan was 'fall to the floor' you knew he wasn't going to get it that night. It was a big wake up call for us Haye fans. I still haven't enjoyed a live fight as much as Haye-Chisora (the most good natured crowd I've ever been part of at a boxing match, everybody happy) and I wish I still had my tickets for Haye-Fury. I'd probably get them framed now: they were proper tickets with photos of the fighters on and everything.

I've said this before but I've got a personally signed framed photo of David that was pride of place in my toilet when I lived in Hackney. I've been a bit transient for the past year or so but I'm moving to a permanent place in the next couple of weeks and the Hayemaker will again take his place in the khazi.

Well he’s definitely been full of shit for many years

The klit fight has to rank as one of the biggest damp squibs I’ve ever seen in a boxing ring, made worse by some truly awful camerawork from the German broadcaster. I gave Haye a good chance going into that but he just couldn’t close the distance and his speed was totally negated.

The funny thing is though about the fight was that the two biggest shots were landed by Haye, in the 4th and the 12th. Apart from that, barely anything happened.
