Not a well known HW but anyone know why he stopped fighting?

Because Danny Williams properly knocked his head off.
And when he was saved from getting knocked out - he was trying to make out he was going to chin Danny Williams after the match ended - yeah right, like it was working out for Platov before his arse was saved by the referee and judges.

Not much after, he wasn't the same fighter.
