Remember that Mexican dude Israel Gonzales, who arguably beat Kal Yafai in Monacao? I had him edging that I think. I had kinda not been impressed with him before that, as I saw him outclassed and stopped by Jerwein Ancajas, who I'm not too hot on. But then he fought well vs Yafai and scored a good win in Japan a few fights after that.
What stood out most for me though is that I didn't realise that this dude was like only 21/22 when he had those fights, and is still only 23. Seems like a guy who could mature and end up winning a title and getting some more good wins over the next few years if boxing ever returns lol
Anyone else like this who you may have overlooked or underrated at first, who is not the usual sh!t hot prospect, etc....who yo think might emerge and do nice things next few years?

Israel is fighting one of the Aussie Maloney twins soon, or he’s scheduled to at least. That will be good.
I often end up liking a challenger better than the champ after an “easy” defence. Usually unheard of guys from overseas.

I thought Gonzalez beat Yafai as well, i remember being impressed with him against Ancajas as well though before getting stopped
Him and Martinez would be a great wee war

Hassan Mwakinyo was scheduled to fight in March or April, but I can see it's not on the schedule anymore, understandibly.

Rene Tellez Giron, 21 year old Mexican, 14-1, travelling to Ukraine to beat an unbeaten local prospect and later coming to USA to KO unbeaten USA olympian Carlos Balderas . Kid could real serious if he improves as most 21 year olds do. Only loss to fellow prospect Michel Rivera. Maybe should try to keep at 130 instead of 135 with that stubby height
Keep an on to do what lose at world level. He's at ceiling right now.

Today must be comedian night but fair play to you and him if he does. I don't think he will but we'll see.

tbf i didnt just mean guys you think will be world champs, though williams is a bit past the stage of his career where id include him in this. has been looking very good lately, i mean if a belt becomes vacant certainly wouldnt rule him being able to pick one up with the right match

I understand to keep an eye on someone who will make some noise a move up an level not neccesary a world champ but in the case of WIlliams and Harris there have already reach all levels except world champion. Thats why I made the case I made.

I understand to keep an eye on someone who will make some noise a move up an level not neccesary a world champ but in the case of WIlliams and Harris there have already reach all levels except world champion. Thats why I made the case I made.
i got what you saying , just some of the others were older than williams, but i get ya

At 33 it might be a bit late, but I think Cassius Chaney could do something at heavyweight, decent skills and can punch

I have no doubt that now I've tipped him he'll lose by spectacular knockout very soon
