let's make a KABOOM thread

does anyone know something more about his amateur career? except of Wikipedia there is basically nothing

Has he been ever knocked down in both pro and am?

He seems to be more or less full package in terms of jaw, punch power, durability, legs and mental.
IMO, his main weakness is being predictable fighter with very limited changes of pace and having only one gear - go forward.
Still if he lands quality shots to Tyson Fury - he can easily re-open his cut. Fury has trouble with shorter and quicker fighters.

how do you see him? I have him #7 in HW.

You described his strengths and weaknesses pretty well, I'd say his legs aren't particularly good though in terms of moving. He is solid but basic. Whyte won about 8 or 9 rounds befuddling him with some jabbing and moving. Rivas showed his strengths at times and looks like a strong, fairly durable guy who can show some late power---but being unable to up his pace or vary his attack was really obvious.

Rivas whilst decent, holds only a distance loss to Whyte, where as Fury has a few solid wins.

He's solid boxer with good power. Lacks IQ though. I won't say that performance vs Jennings was very convincing. Rivas got to him, credit to Oscar for that, but I had Jennings leading. Whyte wisely outboxed him as well. Rivas caught him too, but Dillian survived it due to his heart and experience. Rivas is a near top-15 fighter right now.
