I expect McGuigan would have faced Esparragoza had he beaten Steve Cruz.

Esparragoza was good but I fancy McGuigan to win a close decision, particularly had this taken place in Belfast.

I was a big McGuigan fan back in the day. I actually thought Esparragoza would be the one to beat him. McGuigan was a bit on the slide after he won the title in spite of his youth. Although Barry could have got a decision in Belfast possibly.
