So I'm just thinking not sure about any of this but Tyson Fury with his decent boxing skills and huge size wouldn't he be able to defeat tiny Stipe Miocic in a UFC fight with minimal training?

How would such a fight sell? I'm guessing it wouldn't do so well, probably a fight vs Daniel Cormier would bring in more bucks as a UFC fight. But what about a boxing matchup Tyson Fury VS Brock Lesnar? It wouldn't surprise me at all if such a bout would be somewhat bigger than Fury VS Wilder II. Such a nonsense sport aint it.

I wish people would stop talking about crossover fights. Boxing is boxing, MMA is MMA...

Fury might as well strike it while he's hot before Wilder absolutely batters him and completely dominates the third fight

The masses don’t know what they want to see until you spin it to them. I’ve never heard of those MMA fighters you want Fury to fight and would rather see boxers box anyway.

Just because the masses are conned into buying something doesn't make it any good.

Cormier would massacre fury. I'd be more interested in miocic but he has good wrestling skills, nowhere near Daniels level.

I wish if people would talk Crossover fights, they'd do a true crossover.

The Halfway mark between Boxing and MMA is Kickboxing.

Give me a Boxer vs an MMA fighter in a Kickboxing match, and I'm interested. Because neither man is entirely in his comfort zone.

But this is the thing...Roger Federer is arguably the greatest tennis player ever. He’d be whupped in a game of badminton by the British badminton champion.

I remember in 1996, Bath rugby union played Wigan rugby league in a game each of their respective sport. Both teams were dominant in their own code sweeping all before them. When they played league Wigan hammered Bath. When they played union Bath hammered Wigan. It proved nothing.

Just my opinion but I have no desire to see a boxer compete in another combat sport.

I'd actually love to see a prime boxer like fury in mma, but not against an Olympic wrestler. I am not going to try and pretend I can spell his name, but someone like ngonou would be pretty interesting.

Floyd vs Conor was one of the stupidest fights. Floyd toyed with the guy all the fight. And that's usual because Conor couldn't even kick the guy, let alone wrestle him.

And before that, Ali vs. Inoki was the weirdest fight ever with that mixed rules (boxing + limited kicking + limited wrestling), Inoki was too afraid to stand up and take punches, and Ali couldn't wrestle and kick him on the ground.

Crossover fights are good if it's not serious, otherwise the guy who waste all of his life to do that sport obviously wins. Conor would easily beat Floyd if it was allowed to kick and wrestle.

If Miocic will box only, like Conor did against Floyd, then Tyson Fury would toy with him for a while and then he would finish him off.

If everything is allowed, Miocic would beat Tyson Fury in 2 rounds, because Tyson Fury has no experience on dealing with kicks and wrestling from high level pro mma fighters.

Fury describes himself as a fighting man. He's from a gipsy family of fighting men. I would be very surprised if his martial proficiency did not extend beyond the limitations of The Queensbury Rules

Whether those basics combined with his physical advantages would be enough to overcome a top MMA fighter trained in those skills outside of TQR is another question.

Fury has tons of size on the fellow and knows how to box. Is learning a bit of defence from takedowns and kicks that hard?

Im not saying that Fury is P4P better than Stipe but that much of a size advantage is hard to deal with.

I can see a Wilder win by KO. I cannot see Wilder dominating any fight, unless it's like a KO 1.

Here is an admission: Today was the first time I watched a Stipe fight, I watched the second fight against Daniel Cormier and come on, this guy would lose at Boxing, MMA, mudwrestling probably at darts too VS Tyson Fury, again, I'm not saying that Tyson Fury is some boxing genius but his size would absolutely kill this Stipe fellow even if Tyson Fury only had two months to prepare for this fight. That being said and Dana White not having become a multi millionair from being stupid.... this fight is never going to happen, sorry for mentioning it.

Fury would get demolished.

Yes I’d say learning those skills proficiently is very hard to do, just like learning boxing footwork is very difficult.

I was an average wrestler and I can take down someone with no experience in seconds. Then you go up levels until you hit cormier. Fury could train takedown defense every day for a year and Daniel would toy with him. Tiger woods isn't beating fed at tennis either.

Tiny Daniel Cormier..... don't forget they are wearing 4-6 ounce gloves and they are also throwing punches. Tyson Fury used to mention taking on Cain Vazques, there is a reason why he talked about taking such a fight... it's because he'd slaughter those UFC guys.
