3rd times the charm

B'jo mentioned Azamuh Nelson beating Leija....I notice that it took him 3 tries, first time was a draw, 2nd a Leija win, 3rd a Nelson stoppage win. It also took Fenech 3 times to beat Nelson, although with weird circumstances

What other cases were there of needing 3 tries? Give the Wilder fans some hope :OhYes:

Nice ones :TU: Though I think Ruiz and Holy split their first 2 and then drew the 3rd

Henry Cooper lost twice to Joe Erskine before finally KO’ing. In fact he beat him after that too.

Barrera Morales. I though Barrera won the first fight, you could've argued that Morales won the second then Barrera took the third more decisively.

Yeah but imagine putting yourself through 4 training camps believing that you could still win - and it’s not as if Pac was doing anything different on the supplements front

That for me is one of the most satisfying ko wins ever,it almost wipes out the previous losses and draw.

I remember the pass the IBF around days among a small group of South African fighters around 130 or so, despite a lot of rematches I didn't find any like this among them, but I did find another South African, Takalani Ndlovu, who was knocked out by Steve Molitor for the IBF at 122, then lost a decision, but then won a wide decision for the belt in their 3rd fight

...he lost to Daisuke Naito, in what was their third bout, with Pongsaklek having won the first 2

Also Takefumi Sakata vs Lorenzo Parra

I was a BIG BIG BIG FAN of Azumah Nelson ,, first fight with Fenech , he had been ill in the build up , and lost his mother in law or mother in the couple of weeks prior , he was'nt 100% but Jeff was robbed

2nd fight ,, Well he done what he said he would do he smashed Jeff , proffesor schooling the student

3rd fight , Did'nt know wether to be distgusted ,, find it funny , or just say got what you deserved ,, But Nelson was spewing after that fight or exhibition , it was lacklustre affair , looked like two old men having a spar ,, Nelson later claiming it was fixed and Fenech cheated ,, he claimed that when approached to do the thing , Fenech assured him it was sorted and it would be a draw , claimed Fenech and Aussie officals fooooked him over .

Read into Fenechs antics outside the ring and you would'nt be suprised by that at all .... Still he was party to conning the public so you reap what you sow
