Just watched the fight again for the umpteenth time, I watched it twice back to back once with UK commentary and the second time with US commentary and couldn’t help noticing how many shots Benn lands without a mention from either commentary team, it’s mainly when McClellan is in full attack mode and Benn manages to sneak a shot in, the difference is that although McClellan is landing multiple shots Benn is riding most of them and the ones Benn are landing are flush on the jaw or temple and McClellan doesn’t ride any of them, not one, McClellan is actually walking on to a lot of them, McClellan takes them all well but he’s still taking them and this is in every single round including both rounds Benn is on the deck, looking at it now I can’t believe how reckless McClellan was in his approach to this fight, completely fell in love with his power it seems.

He did the same versus Julian Jackson and all his opponents if I recall correctly. He would just swallow punches and shrug them off while loading up those ferocious power shots.
