Not in the slightest.

Audley's abysmal efforts on BBC were, in my opinion, the main reasons behind why they got out/are getting out of the sport. They wrote a large cheque and got next to nothing in return.

The man has seriously damaged the sport as a result.

Yeah you can only fool the casual fans / the Beeb so much before they work out that you're not actually a special fighter.

Audley got busted.

I'm trying very hard to care, but's it's very difficult.

I watched every single one of his fights on BBC, but then I don't have Sky and don't get to see as much boxing as I'd like. I do like Audley, and would like to see him go far in the world, but he does have to fight somebody quality now. It's the right time in his career.

Shame that the BBC has dropped a lot of boxing coverage now though......

The last sighting was of him arriving back from the U.S at Heathrow not long after Danny Williams battered body arrived back from his fight with Vitali. He keeps refusing to speak to the media so no one knows what the big man is doing?!?

Maybe he is planning on basing himself in the U.S in 2005, maybe he has done a Hamed and just shut himself off from the media etc. and is just keen on getting out of the sport through the back door?? who knows?

Well i think it turned out that all the hype was just that, he talked himself up so much and offered absolutely nothing in terms of action to back up it up. He has damaged the sport irreparably in the way he took the BBC for a ride, now they are obviously dubious of the sport after he burned there fingers and is one of the major reasons behind them pulling away from Boxing. He will NEVER make anything of himself in America, they care about him about as much as we do over here! Another self delusion.

Apropo of nothing in particular, but I checked in next to AH at the United desk at Heathrow not so longs ago ( have I mentioned this already ) and he is F**kin' enormous.

He's still recovering from injury isnt he? He was last I heard about a month ago. Give the guy a break.

And it was the BBC's own fault, they paid the million and allowed him to top the bills. He had an initial 10 fight deal with the BBC - you cant expect people to be fighting for a world title in 10 fights.

Chris Sanniger seems to think he will be back around March time. However Audley is supposed to have said he will be back soon.

I mean he isnt wearing a cast on his hand or anything like that right now and hasnt been for about a month. I would assume he would have been doing fitness work but how long he will have been sparring if at all I dunno.

He will be basing himself in the US for the near future anyway lets get that right.

Yes the USA is where he will be based.

That isn't correct. Audley has quite a high profile in the US, he was on the cover of the Ring magazine for fucks sake. The heavyweight division is so poor that right now they are desperate for anyone to come along and 'represent' as Audley would say.

I was positive about Audley to start with, but he's facing an uphill struggle, he's too old and inexperienced to make much of a dent, and unless he develops some serious power I doubt he's going to make a dent on the division.

I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

Harrison is the biggest Farce actually at Heavy and has raped the words "talent" and "prospect" it is the first time in my life that i heard of a 30 year old talent or prospect. and he was the most overhyped boxer on this forum, definetely.

I thought it highly unusual for Harrison to issue an autobiography beforehispro career started -However it will probably never need updating.

How anyone could have such a start in the pro's topping the card live on the Beeb and then fail to shine-Even in the worst heavy division of all time, is some achievement

Although he is not a concussive puncher he is very fast for a big man and surely could do better than he has to date.

A win against any name would catapault him into the mix -look what Dominic Guinns win against Michael Grant done for him or Danny Williams win against Tyson.

Hopefully the move to the States will help - although he hardly pushed any boundaries during his last stint there

First time you have heard of a 30 year old prospect and yet you will probably bum Valuev into death row.

Valuev is the most overhyped on these boards. Seriously can you read Bub, look at this thread Im the only fan of Audley right now so how is he being hyped at all. Valuev on the other hand is loved by the East Europeans, Germans and the Americans who are looking for a great white hope (whihc is a lot unfortunately.) And for Valuevs next fight he is fighting a guy who is ranked (I think) about 2 places above Bonin in the EBU raings, a guy who basically said he was retiring after being stopped by Jeremy Williams, and people pat him on the back so hard for this that he now has a hunchback.

Ray Mercer was 29 when he turned pro.....

Age isn't the problem with Audely, I think he was cming along ok for his first 10 fights yet got unfairly critcised and I think this negative media coverage actually dented his confidence and resulted in that terrible performance against Francis when he really should have been able to blast Francis out or at least stop him to look good.
The move to the US could be good for him, he seemed to make some headway when he was there last... at the end of the day he's still got at chance at going somewhere because the talent is so thin in the division.... heavyweight boxing is almost stone dead now in America. But Audely must make his move this year I feel...

Lets see what happens when he comes back from his layoff, I dont think its unrealistic for him to be moving along quickly once he's back. A couple warm ups in succession before a significant move up in class. If he fights every 6-8 weeks he could move fast.

Yes, he needs four fights in the first 6 months if he's going to get any momentum back.
