Margarito had cement in his gloves. Yes he could take a beating but Mayorga was iron chinned himself. He gave his chin to Forrest for not one but two clean shots and also offered Tito Trinidad some clean left hooks. At that time his chin was as good as Margaritos. He hit hard and was one of the biggest lunatics we've seen. Margaritos win over Martinez looks good but again the gloves were probably loaded if you rewatch the fight. The same with the Cotto fight. Mayorga's wins over Forrest are rated higher than anything Margarito has ever done in my book. I'd take Mayorga here. I think Margaritos entire career is questionable.

Its impossible to know how many fights margarito had cement. But his workrate and chin were better than mayorga. Thats what im goong off of

Shane mosley rated margarito as having the best chin and he fought both of them
