Do you have any 'causes'

I mean, positions you are committed to arguing/defending
For example, one for me is highlighting the massive overratedness of Jack, the midget/teen hugger Johnson, who for reasons more due to his interesting personal story and not his career is rated like some ATG #3 hw. Any time I see someone massively rate him, like so many do, I must show the truth!
Yours may be something else, like defending the character of Carl Froch on every Froch thread, or bashing AJ at every opportunity, or arguing the underratedness/overratedness of someone

I think I used to be quite ‘Scottish’ on here and get a bit bravehaert in my early days as a poster, likely due to having worked on sites in England a fair bit and encountered the ‘sweaty sock’ attitude which for some reason used to enrage me.

Don’t think any other Heavyweight champion in history had the amount of pressure to deal with than Johnson did, probably the most mentally strong of all the heavyweight champs.

He also had backing as a big attraction and was in very advantageous matchups, with some control over opponents. Whereas a guy like Sam McVea fought Johnson as a 17 year old then never got a shot at the title

I don’t like Alverz and the way he gets treated compared to other boxers- I’d love to see the wheels come off with him

Think a lot of people would agree with that
Myself, I am mixed on Canelo. There are definitely A-side advantages, but even then I respect the fights he's taken and I felt he did beat GGG the second time

My brother in Law , gets very braveheart ,,, No bullshit , come weekends , he wears his kilt and sits , in front of the tele , with his mams old Andy Stewart , records , full blast in the back ground , watching english shows , my sister records for him , coro ect ,, then after his 15-16 beers , out comes the whisky , and he's singing and snarling at the TV , in the broadest scotch accent , you've ever heard , no one can understand a word he says , except when he's shouting Fenian bastards , eYS FOOKING HEETS YAS , YAS PECK OF COOOOOOONTS , ...
But the amazing thing is ,,, his mam was from scotland , but moved to Newcastle , when she was young ,, his dad was a Geordie , , he was born in London , and he moved to Australia when he was 10 ,,, He's never been to scotland , ,, Night of the Scottish referendum , he actually painted his face blue , sat with his kilt on waiting for the result drinking whizky and screaming Freedom ..
Stuffed if i know how they put up with him , but my sister and the kids still fortunatly think its hilareous .
He also identifies Rod Stewart has a famous scotsman

Telling people to fvck off unnecessary PPVs is my only consistent cause.
Clearly I’m making a poor job of it, as we’ve been getting more than ever.

Tbh I had to scrape the barrel on this. I don’t go for all the kilt and nationalistic or sectarian shite. I just remember getting ripped for being a ‘sweaty sock’ a lot in Kirby until I went a bit mad with a scaffolding hammer. Then for a while on here when posters would denigrate ‘the jocks’ etc I’d lay into them.
In real life I have one main cause and that’s to make more money.

I know it’s not an unheard of take, but I can’t stand by and watch people bad mouth Lomachenko, even when I know 99% of people are only doing it to wind his fans up. The guy is a legit p4p top 5 guy, and deserves respect.

I threw my toys out the pram when people were slagging off Joe Joyce , I'm a fan of his.
Yes he's not the prettiest to watch sometimes, but Olympic silver medal , world bronze, Commonwealth Gold, unbeaten professional and going in with the next big thing in Dunois.
But all he gets is a slagging.

I'm always a one for defending workers and workers rights. Been a tradesman and trade unionist all my adult life so that's my main cause. Animal cruelty is another, especially with dogs. I'll get out the car or cross the road to have words with anyone I see mistreating animals. No need for it ,won't stand for it.

You'd be doing very well to convince me that there aren't far too many people in the world, or that overpopulation isn't the cause of most of the world's greatest problems.

I was likely one who called him a bum. Totally wrong of course. I think the McDermott fight turned me off the hype.
