Who is holding it against you? Do what you want - but there is a reason why St Georges Day isn't as popular as St Patricks Day in Ireland.
I don't think most English people will care - even the ones who are C of E.
Saying that - before the reformation - St Georges Day was a massive day in the English calendar.

Yes, though St Patrick was born in Britain and St Andrew was born in Israel.

George was a massive liar though, he went round telling everyone he slayed a dragon, which have never actually existed.

Should be celebrated. I'm off to put bells on me ankles and put damp clothes on the rotating maypole that is a dryer line.

BBC slags. Do a full part on the news about Ramadan and not a word about it being St. George’s day.

I think he was a Greek who went to work for the Romans. The dragon thing was supposed to happen in Africa. I think George is the saint of many countries! He wouldn't have voted for Brexit!
