Mike Tyson v Danny Williams

Its been reported that Tyson is in training to return for a 3 or 4 rounder exhib, but no other info about his potential opponent has been revealed yet. On one credible boxing web site the name suggests it could well be Britain's Danny Williams .

Tyson recently revealed in his podcast that he will be returning 'soon' to fight in an exhibition.

If this happens Mike would certainly get his revenge against Danny.

If it's an exhibition I'd assume I'd think it would be basically a sparring session, not a fight.

You never know though, how do we know that Mike isn't way more shot and worse than Danny?

I'd still fancy Williams. Even though he's crap now, he's remained active. Being inactive for a length of time so possibly one of the biggest disadvantages you can bring upon yourself. Tyson's had 15 years off and hasn't lived a healthy lifestyle for the majority of those years. 6 punches in a 4 second clip proves nothing. He looked amazing on the pads before he lost to Williams the first time round.

From all the blurb, if Mike Tyson does come back into the ring it will be an exhibition for charity & NOT a proper fight...

Danny Williams is, I think, the only man who faced Mike Tyson who is STILL active!

The same boxing website carried a story today that Evander Holyfield is interested in participating...

If there is a few quid in it for Tyson and something for charity, all good.
He is being sensible, a bit of showbiz, prob a few rich guys paying for the privilege, or some famous ones to attract the tv.

Tyson might go in with the notion of it being a exhibition and then change his mind

If the fight went ahead and Danny had a bit of ambition then I’d pick him to beat Tyson again.

I had an exasperating conversion with a guy at work who saw the 10 seconds of Tyson on the pads and deemed him good enough to beat many of today’s heavyweights.

It’s terrifying how fickle people can be. I could barely argue with him I was that faint.

Tyson really captured people's imagination didn't he. I've had so many arguments with more casual boxing fans about how in his prime he would supposedly knock out any fighter in history, Ali, everyone. No he wouldn't. For so many reasons. Nothing changes their mind.

My money's on Danny, too. He's still fit and active. Mike is a ageing stoner.

Thankfully it won't happen. Wasn't Tyson saying something about a year ago where he said he never trains boxing because it (paraphrasing, obviously) turns him into a horrible reckless violent c*nt?

Go and smoke some more toads, Mike. Turn it in.

Holyfield will kick his ass now, when they were 20,30,8. Always.
