Looking at his Twitter feed he is back in training with a view to having one more fight. Not sure what he has to gain by this really or what kind of level opponent he would be looking at.

As brave and entertaining as he was,it's not a clever idea,he was fragile at his peak,leave it Enzo

I enjoyed him as a commentator on BNation

I think Enzo has always been in the gym, he runs an amateur gym, he still trains, still loves the sport and is still much better than the rest, it's tough to walk away in those circumstances.
I don't know his financial situation, he was always a full time boxer and has a lot of kids, but always had a reputation for being careful with his cash

I really hope it isn't true. And would the Board grant him his licence back even if he passed all the medical tests? Although there is the precedent of Terry Dunstan for cruiserweight former title holders getting their licence back at a fairly advanced age.

As for whether having all defeats by stoppage is a record, Enzo has nothing on Eric Crumble - https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/5316. Just wish we knew the story around that crazy no contest in there.

I'm sure Enzo has mentioned before that he'd like to bow out on number fifty?

While he has achieved everything in the sport, it must be tough for a fighter to be stuck on 49

Kinnel, brutal. But for a former world champ, 8 on the bounce takes some beating.

As for Enzo, i'd love to see an old thread for his fight with Haye. He had plenty of backers at the time.Admittedly half of those, Haye haters.
Every old timer under the sun are throwing their names around about some sort of comeback,
so take his return with a pinch of salt.

Nice one. 5 is up there. Only finished on the deck the once i think, but they all were
brutal endings.

He’s nearly 40 and was well shopworn when he retired in 2016 I hope it’s just a rumour about coming back but if he does apply for a licence I carnt see the board granting it if they want to retain any credibility whatsoever but you never know

I'd even lump Mike Tyson in there , although one by DQ , I always think of a DQ loss as a stoppage

David Price and a Frank Bruno both lost all their fights by KO.

Yep, looks like Pricey's on the way to top the 8, but he wasn't a champ like Enzo and Julian Jackson. And Tyson.

'normal' telly at the time if i remember. A gunfighter of the ring. First to land wins

Urghh hope not when enzo loses he really loses.

A few times its looked like he's snapped his neck.

The turning point seemed to be over doing the strength training when he dabbled at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prior to running out of gas against Ola Afolabi in 2009. He never seemed the same after that. Going down to light-heavyweight in retrospect was a duff move.

I met Enzo at a fight in Manchester,he was with Enzo Calzaghe,both absolute gents

Watched a podcast featuring Gary Lockett yesterday,he supported Enzo`s wish to have one more fight which would be his 50th pro bout to match the 50 that he had as an amateur apparently.
Gary emphasised that Enzo`s not looking for a title run,just one more bout in front of his home fans for his 50th bout,
I`d rather not see it personally,but I guess as long as he`s matched sympathetically then he may as well get it out of his system while he still can.

I’d go and support Enzo in a 50th fight, as long it was basically a glorified exhibition.

I bloody hope not. He took some big knockdowns towards the end. What’s the point?

He had 50 amateur fights (won 46) and wants one more pro fight to make it 50 in the pros too.

he’s taking the comeback seriously, but it will be to solely get to 50 in the pros.
