UFC just served solid UFC 249 to the fans. No similar boxing cards in near future? Watching mma means i have serious deficit of boxing :( :( :(

I thought Clarissa Shields was fighting a no audience bout this past weekend?
I know there have been some sporadic fights around the world per Boxrec.com
Id rather not watch boxing at all or any other sport and have the pandemic go away not causing more deaths tbh.

Boxing behind closed doors are likely to happen in the UK from June onwards, but don't expect these events to generate sufficient revenue to justify the staging of marquee PPV quality events.
And to be fair, those live sporting events that I’ve seen that have been staged without attending audiences (i.e. UFC, WWE, football [soccer], darts etc.) have been dire to watch, due to a lack of crowd atmosphere/reaction.
I think the promoters and the TV networks already realise this and will inevitably expect reduced viewing figures.
And would many people be willing to pay subscription fees to DAZN, ESPN+, Showtime, Sky, BT etc. in order to watch reduced quality behind closed door boxing events (void of any crowd atmosphere), with very few other sporting events being staged on the same networks?

Mentioned jamel herring (former marine)
Said warren is putting josh taylor, frampton and conlan in fights in the uk too
No major fights just domestic title defenses

I thought the UFC PPV was great and the lack of fans only was a minimal distraction.
I’m all for boxing getting up and running in a similar way ASAP.

I'd never heard that Jam is a former marine

UFC 249 got around 720k buys. Thats an amazing number considering half the country is out of work.

Who are they going to fight though domestically? One is a unified world champ, Frampton a former world champ and in line for a shot. Conlan is the only one who can be matched domestically

Ritson is ranked with the IBF for Taylor. And I think Yigit may have been based in the UK at one point? He's ranked too. Non-title fights could happen too I guess.
Frampton doesn't have a belt and can be matched vs whoever

Shakur to return June 6 against Rafael Rivera. In other words, a sparring session.

True. Who would u like to see Frampton in with super feather domestically? I like Frampton I think he’s exciting

Clarissa's the only fighter to have fought in no audience boxing shows before, during & after the Corona crisis - Guinness Book of World Records some time in the future

Claressa needs to learn MMA. Thats where all the money is in womens combat sports. She is wasting her prime fighting in a sport where she's already out of opponents.

Hearn is going to do it in the UK
4 shows in 4 weeks in June , live from his back garden full of “sexiness and razzmatazz” (his words not mine).
The 4th and final show will have Whyte v Povetkin as the main event .

This is a man who sold nearly one million TV PPV buys for Joshua Takam, plus 80,000 tickets on the night
He could sell his naked mum fighting a midget with an orthopaedic shoe and people would buy it

After April 25, there will be another show in Nicaragua on June 20. Dominican Republic has got a show on May 30, with two minor WBA titles at stake, and on the same day, Carlos 'King' Molina presents a show in Mexico, boxing himself in one of the five bouts. On June 6, Emmanuel Navarrete will fight on a show in Mexico, in a non-title fight. On July 2, Jamel Herring will defend his title in a MGM Grand Ballroom. On July 4, Giemel Magramo and Junto Nakatani will battle it out for the vacant WBO World flyweight title, in Tokyo's Korakuen Hall. So, let's wait and hope...
