How many rounds should a fight last to be scored

I came across Leon Lawson's record, and noticed he won a 20-18 x3 decision in a fight that only had 2 rounds out of the scheduled 6 scored, due to early cut ending. That seemed kinda weird.

How many rounds do you think a fight should go before it can be scored on the cards in the case of an accidental foul etc

That's a great question. Usually the first three rounds aren't what the entire bout ends up being. (Lews/Vit for instance). Maybe 7 rounds for 12 rounders/5 rounds for 10 Rounders/4 rounds for all others... :maybe:

Unless there is VAR.... the question will always be open. FFS an accidental butt after 2 rounds its a NC. A fighter winning/losing and cutting with a genuine punch wins. Unlucky for the bleeder that may be 2 rounds ahead too. Understand the question but there should be harsh universal rules.

It should definitely be an odd number, because who really wants to see a technical decision draw? They may as well give them a “Good Effort” sticker
