Prime vs Prime.Who wins?

I know Holy beat Holmes by UD in 1992.

Holmes wins a 9-3 type decision.

Prime Holmes wins something like an 8-4 (or 10-5) decision

I think they are evenly matched and would split fights at their best

Prime vs prime, Holmes jab would be the deciding factor as it usually was. Larry would consistently keep Holyfield off balance with his busy jab and occasional combos preventing Evander from getting into a trade off. Holy's too good to be totally shutdown and would occasionally force his way in and win a few rds. In the end, the score would be something like 117-112 for Holmes.

I think if Evander turns it into a slugfest, he wins by split decision.

I don't think anyone beats prime Holy except in a highly competitive fight, if Holmes win IMO he's just edging it

Considering Old Holmes lost to prime Holy by 4-5 points I'd probably favor Holmes to control 7-8 rounds of a 12 rounder over Evander at the least. Love both fighters, but we do have a basis for analysis, IMHO.

Holyfield would make it a fight and outbrawl Larry. Holmes could box, but Evander was just a relentless machine in his prime.

Holmes had a lot of close calls in his reign. Evander is better than anyone he beat... id give it to evander in an epic fight
