The two best eras of the HW boxing. The most competetive, exciting, action packed and filled with talents.

What era would you favor and why?

I think the guys from the 70s were a bit better, but close call.

The 70s dudes were better overall, but the 90s had more fun craziness to them. Both great HW times.

I'd pick the 90s in terms of both class and spectacle. Prime Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe could beat anyone of the 70s. Bowe-Holyfield trilogy was simply the best trilogy in boxing. It's a shame though, that Lewis-Bowe is missing.

The 90s also still gave us George and Holmes for people who wanted some of the 70s and 80s :yay:

The 1990s had considerable talent but the matchmaking was beyond horrendous.

Anyway the 1990s had better depth I think but more big fights were made in the 70s.

The high profile heavyweight matchups that we missed in the 70s decade were:
George Foreman vs Jerry Quarry
Foreman vs Larry Holmes
Joe Frazier vs Ken Norton

In the 90s decade we missed too many great matches. Just too many.
