The ever honest Eubank schools Collins, who walks off immaturely

Watched this yesterday, Richie Woodall is a top bloke. Collins was getting very irritated by Eubank suggesting he ducked Joe

The truth hurts ! Calzaghe would have torn Collins to pieces.

Meaning - he was scared of Calzaghe so he pushed for RJJ instead? The fight didn’t make sense for Collins, if it had done he‘d have been right there. Collins was the real deal as he proved quite a few times.

Where as Frederic Sellier and Craig Cummings really cemented Collins' legacy. Beating Eubank was a very good win, but his title reign was littered with C listers and a washed up former champ.

Collins was taylor made for Joe.

Collins was a very good fighter, with a good boxing brain, but Roy and Joe would have torn him a new hole.

I don’t think he was, at least not at that stage of Joe‘s career. Collins brought more intensity than Chris and Calzaghe found the 12 rounds hard going, although he did win comfortably enough. I think Calzaghe would have found the 12 rounds harder with Collins.

The thing is, that aside, Collins would have had no issues with facing Joe if it had been worth his while. In this sort of debate you can always say - you ducked Calzaghe. It’s like saying Calzaghe ducked Froch, instead of saying that he just wasn’t interested in the fight.

Yes, great show that. I found Jones the most entertaining. Woodhall stood out as well just by being so normal.

Looking at prime vs prime Joe would of been too much for collins probably would of beat him by wide UD but at the time Steve relinquished the belt he was in the same position Joe was when he was being chased froch. Joe wanted the bigger money fights and chased Hopkins and an old well past his sell by date RJJ. Collins had a prime Eubank twice and a war torn Benn twice other than these two i cant remember a top top guy on his record,Neville Brown?(joke btw) So he wanted RJJ or he was retiring.
Then look at Joe Calzaghe record upto the Jeff Lacey fight and it was similar to collins reign and Eubanks before him.

Woodhall is a great bloke. I remember when the judges gave him the fight against Catley. Woodhall knew he'd lost it really, shook his head and apologised to Catley.
In the post-fight interview, Woodhall looked absolutely devastated and said that he thought Catley won the fight.

Never seen anything so honest in boxing.

I've not seen this for years but have the memory of this not being respectful of Roy Jones, he was a clear level above all of these in his prime.

It was mostly Collins being disrespectful to jones. Trying to bait him claiming Toney was more the more gifted fighter. Collins came across really bitter.

Another of these in a few years with groves, degale, Froch and the smiths would be comedy gold. Paul Smith, degale and Froch in the same room would go beyond cringeworthy!

Must be nice to be Collins, he can spout off at whoever he wants safe in the knowledge that nothing short of an RPG round is going to hurt him

Collins was talking waaaay too much. Like he was actually asking for a fight/payday.

He was put on the spot by Chris and he was after the Jones fight. He had to talk. Collins is alright.

Look at the best Calzaghe performance and look at the best Collins performance.....Joe would have blitzed the hell out of Collins, and he knew it !

Calzaghe and Froch were never signed to fight. Collins pulled out 10 days before the Calzaghe fight! He priced himself out of a Jones fight with his wacky demand for 20m (Tyson/Holyfield level money). He could find the motivation to fight Cornelius Carr & co but not Joe Calzaghe? Please. He would have been stretched like he was in sparring versus Howard Eastman.
