I personally think that Cobb could give him a fight.

Cobb would bring it, but he's just too unskilled to get it done I think. He'd take some rounds just by outhustling Ruiz, but probably not enough of 'em if Ruiz was even remotely in shape.

I think Ruiz would take a close decision.

Overall, I agree, but I think, it would be a pretty wide decision for Ruiz. About 116-112.

Cobb: 10th rd TKO.

Ruiz collapses from exhaustion after throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Cobb through 9.

Andy will never punch himself out that bad, because once he starts getting tired he just stops his lazy ass from throwing and then plods around without moving his hands.

Tex Cobb....interesting guy, lost several competitive fights to good opposition like Dokes, Norton, and Douglas. He wasnt just a walking punching bag even though that's a big part of his reputation. I could see a draw where Tex comes on.

Incorrect. Referencing Cobb's latter year comments on having Holmes where he wanted him. A few more rounds, he said, and holmes would've collapsed from exhaustion. Nice try though.

This begs the question of what happens in a ten rounder versus 12? Do the extra two rounds help Ruiz or Cobb? Have to believe it’s Tex.

I don't think, that the picture would significantly change with 10 rounds instead of 12. Ruiz would win about 97-93. A 15 round bout can give Cobb some extra chances probably, but we've just haven't seen modern boxers going 15 rounds.
