Mayweather never competed at 160, and now you're wanting him to take on one of the best ever 2 weight classes higher than he ever competed?

But at least tell me that is a more stupid question than this question?

Though it does raise the question---Floyd was obviously a great boxer, so how far up could he go and still win?

Cal is a bad match for him, but what about more limited heavier guys? Personally I think he had the right tools and style to beat GGG.

I mean I guess you can always hypothetically pose how so and so would do against somebody in a street fight.

Bruce Lee's mythical status of what people think he could do in street fights is well overblown I'm sure.

At least nobody ever pitched the idea of Bruce vs Ali in a boxing match

He would've been dominated by Golovkin at Middleweight.

Even the people he beat at 154 were blown up Jr. Welterweights and Welterweights. The one time he fought a guy who was naturally that much bigger than him, Canelo, he fought him when he was green and very young.

If you match Floyd with a guy like say Winky Wright at Middleweight, maybe he can win.

Hell I could see him outboxing Tito Trinidad as a Middleweight.

But you wouldn't want to go too crazy with who you match him with.

What about Jeff Lacy ?

He's obviously better than Kirkland, but at a certain point size catches up to you. Kirkland while chinny, I don't think Floyd would've been able to hurt him, and I also don't think he would've been able to stop him. If Kirkland was bulling in at him, and roughing him up, sure Floyd would duck and dodge, and slip and slide and survive maybe, but what's he gonna do to win?

Most people who say that are referring to an all out fight with use of all skills, not all things equal like a boxing match.

Floyd could have decisioned jermain Taylor im sure of it especially after seeing how cory spinks did

Floyds foot speed would have been slowed down at 168 and i dont think he could have competed there

Different style. Just like Floyd schooled Corrales but had trouble with Castillo. Ali schooled Foreman but always had trouble with Frazier who Foreman easily walked through twice.

I think Kirkland if trained by Wolfe "could" and that's a could give Floyd the same trouble that Maidana did, except Kirkland's much bigger.

Styles make fights. The size, and style of Kirkland would've been a nightmare for Floyd. Kirkland's biggest flaw was his chin. I don't think Floyd is a big enough hitter at 154 to stop him or really slow him down.

Carlos Molina had no punch, wasn't big, wasnt nearly as good as Floyd, and was ahead of Kirkland into the 11th round. Outboxed him most fight until a silly dq.

Floyd would beat Kirkland so easily he'd be ridiculed for fighting him.

There is skill in how maidana and castillo got floyd to the ropes and bullied him. Kirkland is straight forward, wide open, and has a poor chin

Ya, look at Maidana's jabs in the first fight too, Kirk never showed anything like that. Castillo was just on a totally different level of skill than Kirk and can't even be compared

As I said, Molina had no power, was not big at all, not really gifted, and he legit outboxed Kirk for like 10-11 rounds. Floyd does it e z werk. I think he actually would have a good chance at a stoppage given how much clean he could land on that spotty chin..

Paul Willaims woulda been more interesting as far as the pressure guys go, freakish dimensions and could throw fluidly from even the weirdest angles, and unlike a lot of guys would keep throwing even when made to miss a bunch....though the Lara and Quintana fights gives an idea of how a master boxer like Floyd could totally shut him down

Ishida had enough power to send him on the floor numerous times. And that Kirkland trained by Ann Wolfe thing is as annoying as the Cus/Rooney trained Tyson.

Canelo had 43 fights had been pro for 8 years and had been WBC world champion for 2 years running at that point. Please stop with this bullshit narrative of Canelo being green.
