If Floyd went defensive, he would be outworked, if he engaged more, he would be outfought. Duran probably wouldn't stop Mayweather, but he would take a clear decision.

I have a higher opinion of Money than most on this site but the Duran who fought Leonard in Montreal in 1980 would pound Money and TKO him in 10, unless he wanted to make it last longer.

The Duran that fought that night in Montreal was as close as a fighting machine ever been.

Not too many guys would have beaten him that night. And that's like two. No more than that number

Im a huge May fan (in the ring only) but honestly Duran is a horrible matchup for him. There are only 2 men i think are better than Duran head to head. Hearns cause stylistically he is awful for him. Ray Robinson cause he's essentially the perfect fighter.

It is possible with the great Sugar Ray Robinson. The other might be the great Kid Gavilan.

Thomas Hearns at 154lbs and above beats Duran maybe every time. At welterweight, he ain't beating The Hands of Stone. Hearns would have been too frailed.

Everything Castillo did to give Floyd problems. Duran could do better.

Duran wins.

Burley and Holman Williams should be considered as possibly beating Duran at 147.

Both are mostly noted for their work at higher weights. They might've been too green for Duran in their Welterweight days. In their glory days as Middleweights and Light Heavyweights respectively. Yeah they would've won in lopsided fashion.

I'll be honest I wasn't even aware Williams competed as a Welterweight.

Not sure how much of Burley's career took place there. I know he's often considered basically the all time greatest Non Champion at 160, and possibly in Boxing.
