Mark Chamberlain took less than a minute to win the first fight in the UK after lockdown, as Stu Greener failed to get past the unbeaten lightweight’s initial onslaught.

The last time he had been in a ring, Greener had pulled off an upset, beating unbeaten prospect Tyler Davies, but he was giving away a huge amount of height and could not really get close to Chamberlain.

After attempting an early attack, Greener was pinned back on the ropes and then staggered by a left hook. Chamberlain followed up and dropped with a right to the body and another left hook.

Greener made it off the floor at the count of five, but Chamberlain was right on him, shrugging off Greener’s attempts to hold to batter him back to the ropes and force the stoppage from referee Michael Alexander at 55 seconds of the first round.

Chamberlain extended his unbeaten record to six, four of whom failed to survive a round.

“I didn’t expect it to go like that,” Chamberlain said. “They were good clean shots, I didn’t rush in, my footwork was good, my hands we good and every punch counted.

“It’s a little bit different. It’s a bit like sparring, but there are probably more people in the gym when you spar.”

Missed the first fight but hope it wasn't as one-sided as this one. Phil Williams doing little but showing he can take a punch or two or three.

Boxing is one of the few sports that isn't overly affected as a viewing experience with no crowd I think, not too much different to undercard fights in the early evening really. Would prefer some atmosphere of course but hearing the corners clearly etc is quite interesting.

Krasmaru looks a bit too slow for my liking. But still fair play to the opponent he was fairly gutsy. Early days

First 2 fights mismatches, no doubt Adelaye's fight will be one sided, waste of fcvkong time, put Adelaye and Krasmaru in with each other tonight ffs

Didn't miss anything then! Just the sort of fights they said lockdown had ended in the press, the fans will only get quality from now on they said, journeymen might not be able to make a living etc

To be fair it’s been put together at very short notice and the fighters will have had very little time to prepare.. so making big fights wouldn’t be feasible.

that what it is . it is a practise to iron out the ch....s so they can put on a big show

both big lads for super welters. keane looks a little flat footed for me havent seen the ilford lad

Sheeraz is a big lad for 154 definitely.
