Tubbs by UD after boxing Ringo behind his long range jabs and combinations.

At his best, Tubbs might be slightly better. Obviously he was the more skilled boxer. Bonavena was the harder puncher and could keep the pressure on. If Tubbs brought his "A", he could probably out box him enough to win a tough decision. However, Tubbs was often lazy and Bonavena could simply outwork him and win a decision or stop him in the late rounds.

Alp pretty much nailed what I was thinking here.

Tubbs at his very best could and probably does scrape out a close decision.

An undertrained, under motivated Tubbs gets outhustled and outworked.

If Tubbs was at this best, he could pull off a close UD. If not, Oscar could pull off a close UD or SD. Tubbs did not take the greatest punch.

Tubbs had a pretty good chin. That wasn't a weakness.

I remember Clarence Hill flooring him early in his career. Good, but not top notch.
