Jermall Charlo:"He [Derevyanchenko] didn’t win the fight [vs GGG]"

“He didn’t win the fight, but I mean, he definitely made it a lot closer than a lot of people probably expected,” Charlo stated during a virtual press conference recently to promote their Showtime Pay-Per-View main event. “I don’t think people knew that Sergiy’s style – you know, they haven’t seen him as much as they’ve seen Golovkin – but like I said, the fight played out. It was a lot closer than people expected it to be, but he didn’t win the fight.” from BS

Charlo said it. :TU:

ggg lost to dj and canelo 2, but never thought he lost to derev, i was surprised so many called it a robbery. though tbf it was his physically most gruelling fight and there was one late round where he legit got his ass beat the whole time. defo had a shopworn look late in that fight

Like Jacobs it was close and could have went either way. The star got the decision. That is what happens in sports

GGG did not lose to Jacobs and Canelo 2 in my opinion.. Derevy was close...the knockdown the difference

They were all close fights, only one I thought was clear was Canelo winning the rematch although GGG came on. I did think GGG defo deserved the first fight though. Danny outboxed GGG in enough rounds to make up for the kd imo but not gonna legit call it a robbery.

I thought GGG beat Serg 115-112 , Geej was more consistent but Sergey had the biggest rounds despite being dropped. i watched that off forum and was surprised to come online and see all the robbery stuff and people have derev winning

GGG's KO streak ended when he fought Jacob's so I think the fight in people's minds is given way more praise.

It was a close but clear win for GGG. People got lost in the moment that Jacob's wasn't KOed as everyone was saying GGG was gonna kill him if even Mora could drop him etc etc .

Jacobs did well. He didn't win though.

Also thought he beat Jacobs, Danny is one of the more overrated current top guys.

I think under the tutelage of Abel Sanchez, Golovkin fought well against Jacobs and Canelo considering he was the older fighter. :TU:

IMO, he lost by just one point. He was outpunched with the power shots, but Derevyachenko was all over the place with his jab. Heavy bombs vs non-stop artillery.
