Does the Cat have any fights lined up for the New Year. He can't afford to get rusty at his age. I'd like to see him get a shot at any of the current title holders such as Kelvin Davis/Oneill Bell, Mormeck, or Braqithwaite.

Even though Carl had a brilliant 2004 i dont think he'll reach the top again, and i think Rothman would take him this time, he was the better fighter in their 1st fight til gud old Carl knock 10 piles of shit out of him

yeah Rothmanns hand is in a bad way... he broke it really badly on Delaneys hard head and hasnt really been the same since....

shame cause he is a really nice guy... i imagine he is smart enough to beat Thompson this time round

I saw that Rothman vs Thompson fight again on ko tv a few weeks ago. I'd totally forgot just how big the punch actually was. It was fornicating HUGE and totally spun Rothmans head clockwise on his shoulders. Probably the biggest punch Carl has ever landed on anyone.

What a fight that was. I remember Inverdale saying it was a thriller, so made a point of catching it from the start. I also remember being really irritated by Rothmann's large grin as he was peppering Carl. Looked very much like the Joker in batman because of his long face. I assumed he was a bit of a dick, and wanted to see him KO'd. Well, that happened.

Surprisingly I felt sorry for Rothmann in the post fight interview because he came across as not arrogant at all, really humble...

Rothmann is anything but arrogant, he fights arrogantly, talking thrash etc but thats just part of his game plan to try and get one over on people..... he is really a very nice guy and extremely down to earth......

Delaney was telling me that when they fought he was chatting in his ear in the clinches " iam gonna knock you out in the next round...."

Yes i fully expect Rothmann to do the job properly next time and probably early. Fair play to Thompson though, he deserves the paydays.
