2000s Welters

Where do you place to 2000-2010 welters? It strikes me as one of the best eras of all time for the division.
Floyd
Mosley
De La Hoya
Cotto
Forrest
And some other very honorable mentions (Hatton, Malignaggi, Judah, Spinks ... so many more).
What other eras were better?

The 90s also were good. Actually, De La Hoya had his best moment at welter in the 90s. The same can be said about Trinidad. The biggest fight of both in the 2000s took place in the upper division. And in the 90s before them there were Whitaker and McGirt. Whitaker fought Chavez at this weight.
In the late 70s - early 80s there were Benitez, Duran, Leonard, Hearns. Some of their fights also took place at super welter though. After those there were Curry, Starling, Honeyghan. Probably this era was the best for the division.

I'd vote for the 1940's: Robinson, Gavilan, Burley, Cocoa Kid, Jackie Wilson, Tommy Bell, George Costner, Holman Williams, Ike Williams, Zivic, Armstrong, Bratton.

It's a good point. I think of Whitaker, Chavez, Taylor, McGirt and others for Lightweight/Jr Welter exploits I forget what some of them did at Welter.
Definitely late 70s/80s was a murderers row.

The 1980s and the 1960s were to me the best eras of welterweights.

He fought a good few and had many fights above 140lbs. Of course he’s known as a great lightweight champ.
