Just saw it on the news here.

Dunne will fight in the National Stadium on Feb 19th in Dublin against Jimmy Tibbs. Rock will be on the card too.

Dunne always said he wouldnt come back to ireland until he won a title though? And who is this tibbs bloke? I hope its not a bum for Dunne to look good against.

Will Roach make the trip across the Atlantic?

I think dunne is "done" with the US and will now focus on cleaning up the British featherweight scene.

To be honest from what i have seen i am struggling to see where the hype is from...he looks pretty ordinary to me. Has been dropped already and was reportedly lucky to win one of his recent contests.

Presumably you are referring to the last guy he beat on a Showtime card, Adrian Valdez. It didn't look a great result at the time but Dunne was badly cut from a headbutt in the first and hurt his hand in the second. Valdez has since scored two decent wins to leapfrog back over Dunne in the featherweight rankings on BoxRec.

In his first fight after losing to Dunne Valdez knocked out former WBC champ Cesar Soto in a round. That puts Dunne's performance in a much better light.
