Jesus, how on earth on a huge important fight, they put 3 British judges? Total tendency in favor of Taylor.

She did pretty well in the first 2 rounds, moving, counter-punching, dodging, brought Persoon into her plan, then changed plans since 3rd rd (why? wtf?!?), going into a personal infight plan for apparently get her a** kicked... She almost didn't manage the fight well like 1st fight after that, with poor movement, defense, below average dodging and still won? C'mon, these judges should be banned from boxing judging, it is a shame.

These garbage judges missed some of the main principles of judging: "general aggressiveness" (offensive pressuring and supplanting your opponent while connecting punches). Persoon did that a little better at least in 6 rounds (even with very few power punches connected compared to Taylor 86 against 93) and still Taylor won? What kind of planet are these "judges" from? What kind of boxing do they judge? It's just ridiculous.

But between the 6 official cards in the 2 fights, not a single one of them scored it for Persoon, unlucky

Persoon was robbed.

The Sky commentators were biased.

They generously rewarded defence, despite Persoon outlanding Taylor by a 5 to 1 margin.

nah thought taylor won that fair an square, persoon looked like the the elephant woman, kate boxed brillitant yea she got caught with some big shots , so proud of her tonight

Yes, Persoon attacks, hits and has a very clumsy way of fighting, which makes it difficult for a technically highly polished athlete like Taylor deal with and to judges judge it, but it doesn't justify such a ridiculous result. It was an event totally focused for the british and everyone was in silent when an old Russian monster knocked out their darling of the event ...

not saying that at all watch the fight back persoon left eye in rd2 is bruised bad , all iam saying then taylor had big swelling in 5th on the fore head

Ya, though it's one of those things where the overall situation still seems funky. So many people having Persoon ahead, yet she doesn't get a single score for her out of the 6 official cards in the 2 fights. Got a feeling of Taylor getting every benefit of the doubt.

One point off the scorecards of two official judges.
Reasonably could have gone to Persoon ...........but it didn't.
No reason to scream robbery.

The cheerleading commentators need to be dismissed.

Just got home. Read several articles and of course BoxRec commentary. Sounds like it was close. Close fights can't be called robbery was my point.

Heard it was a good romp. I'm going to watch it in the AM. Saw Pov/Whyte. Wow! Took his head off! Can't say I'm shocked. Pov said he was training a lot on that move as his camp saw Whyte have difficulties avoiding uppercuts. Great movement Jab; bend to the left; BAM! The old guys know how to box. Great setup. (don't think he was too hurt in the two knockdowns the prior round either).
