I say 4th because that seems like it could be the path if Wilder wins next, whereas we'll get Fury-AJ quite possibly if Fury beats Wilder again

Not many opportunities like this come up at least in Fury's case, he's in a position to LEGITIMATELY claim to be the Heavyweight Champion of the World with no arguments should he beat Joshua clean.
Should Joshua win there's still obstacles in front of him, however a victory significantly strengthens his claim.
Wilder apparently has the option of a rematch with Fury and I could understand why he would exercise that right, but in terms of who's the man he should step aside for now it just makes more sense.

Wilder has no reason to step aside. Bad business decision is another conversation altogether depending on Deontay's career trajectory as he sees it.

No he doesn't. His career is on the home stretch and he needs to grab his opportunities asap before age catches up with him.
I have no great desire to see Fury v Wilder III, it's just another impediment to the fight for undisputed. So was Fury v Whyte had Whyte got past Povetkin, but both Deontay and Dillian have to put their careers before any consideration of what might be best for the sport, or what the fans might want, obviously.

I'm hoping for Fury/Joshua; the fight is long overdue.
I think a trilogy of fights is enough between Fury and Wilder.
Wilder has failed to beat Fury twice, once when Fury wasn't even truly ready when he got away with a disputed draw.
Even if he somehow wins the rubber match, I have no interest in number 4 just yet because the two of them could ending fighting each other annually until they're in their 70s.
Fury has rightly earned the right to face Joshua now, never mind a third Wilder fight.

I'd still love to see Wilder vs Joshua 
Right now Fury vs Joshua is the biggest fight in Boxing, and you could make a strong case that it'd be the biggest fight in British Boxing history. At least for well over a century.
I know Max Kellerman is always harping on Crawford vs Spence to be the best fight in Boxing. Well best in a "Battle of P4P Elite" sense. Yes, he may be right.
But there's no doubt whatsoever, that the biggest and most lucrative possible fight right now is Fury vs Joshua.

From a commercial perspective, in terms of generating revenue and purse size, Joshua-Fury will probably be the biggest ever fight in British history.
However, in the context of audience figures, newspaper coverage and awareness of mainstream casuals (pre-internet, pre-satellite TV), the following fights will be bigger by far:
• Ali vs. Frazier
• McGuigan vs. Pedroza
• Eubank vs. Benn
• Benn vs. McClellan
• And many more.
The Ali-Frazier fight attracted nearly 30m viewers in the UK. And 18m+ often tuned into Barry McGuigan’s bouts, as well as 16m+ for Benn-Eubank.
The viewing figures and the interest from mainstream casuals for boxing in the UK today are dwarfed by anything that occurred before 2008.
The sport isn't as popular as it once was, despite the fact there's more money to be made nowadays.

Not sure. If Wilder/Fury has a 4th, good chance there may be a 5th, but hopefully not. Both guys are irritating af. I'd rather see guys fight someone they haven't fought before.
