I spoke with Mark the other day as I was concerned that he wasn't getting ring time. I'm fully aware of the trials a pro has if they haven't got one of the big 2 promotors behind them and getting ring action and having to hold down a full time job is difficult. Mark told me as in the interview that he gets offered fights but only is given a couple of weeks notice which isn't always good. As I said to him it's ok getting 2 weeks notice to fight someone like Babic if you aren't bothered about winning but if he gets injured it could also mean several weeks off work which wouldn't earn him a wage.
It's frustrating for him as he can't commit to full-time camp while he has his own business up and running. This is what Mark needs is a definite date and opponent so he can get fight fit and have a 50/50 chance of beating someone like Webb or Babic.
I think ideally he would like a return with Webb then a crack at the English title.
Mark just doesn't want to be the away fighter and have a few weeks notice and take a beating for a few quid. He's a genuine honest guy who wants tonight this best ability and given the chance to do so.
Covid hasn't helped him as a lot of boxers so its frustrating for every boxer at the moment.

Let get it set now. Wardley v Bennett for the English in November/early December, there’s enough cards about to take that fight surely.
