James "Lights Out" Toney had 92 fights from MW to HW and captured a quite some amount of great wins.
What's the best one?

Probably I gotta go with Nunn too.
I like his performances against Barkley and Jirov more, but both those guys were made for Toney, while against Nunn Toney had to go for it. Nunn was the best boxer Toney faced.
Of course, Holyfield should have been the best, but obviously he was shot, when Toney faced him.

Nunn's probably his single best win.
Barkley is his most impressive, most dominant performance that I've seen.
The Jirov or Holyfield win are right there as some of his top wins too.
Tim Littles wasn't a big name, but the circumstances with which he won there make that one special.
But yeah. Nunn.

My favorite was Williams, his best performance was probably Barkley, best fight jirov. Nunn pretty clear best win.

I would say Roy Jones was the best boxer Toney faced.

I agree, I just meant among those, whom he had defeated. But win or lose - yes, gotta go with Jones.

McCallum rematch.
McCallum is the best fighter that an in shape Toney ever fought.
Could easily have gone either way. The draw (first fight) is another very good one, as McCallum was subtly outboxing Toney and an exhausted Toney was timing brutal right hands over McCallum’s jab. Apparently Toney said these fights were great educations that brought his game to the next level.

McCallum win is a one of his best for sure, but I won't call it the best because of a very close nature of it. Actually, I even see their draw as a more convincing performance of Toney than his MD win over McCallum.

Great points. Nothing decisive and Toney was the Canelo of the ‘90s, receiving the benefit of the doubt in razor thin or competitive fights.
Indeed, although he hurt McCallum in the final few seconds of the first fight, he was in worse shape - unable to actually speak properly in the post fight interview. And, in the very hard to score rematch, he was pacing around in frustration at the final bell.
I wish they were 1-1 in their middleweight fights as McCallum really gets forgotten.

The win over an in form Nunn was his best I’d say, McCallum was also a good one but not clear cut, the McCallum fights were a great display of boxing skills though from both men, it was also a great display of “old manning” against Jirov with his box of old school tricks, the Barkley fight was another great display of all his skills all done effortlessly, I miss Toney

Well, not always. I'd say, Toney edged in both Griffin fights, but both were scored against him.

Holyfield was better than Roy in general, but at the moment of facing Toney it was Roy, who was credible, while Holyfield was faded.

Oh my, it looks like there's enough bizarre wacko, who sees Holyfied of Toney's bout version better than prime Roy.

While of course it was no peak Holyfield, he wasn't gone either, and despite the size difference, Toney was top class that night.
I actually thought that Toney would win the title at that point in such a weak division.
Unfortunately between injury and bans his time went

I laughed that he felt the need to explain evander wasn't prime for toney. It wasnt wrong, it was pointless.
