Mostly forgotten today, Delaney was an exceptional fighter. Unfortunately, I didn't really become a boxing fan until about the end of his career so I never watched one of his fights, but my father had attended many of his bouts and believed he was a great fighter who didn't get enough national media coverage during his prime.
