A great matchup for Babic at this point of his career.

Normally don't get too excited when Little is matched with the 'up and comers', but with the question mark over Babic's ability to impose himself on the big heavyweights, this is an interesting match.

Am I right In thinking Babic has some am
Experience and won medals at box cup type events around Europe ? Not some wild man they have found on the doors in Zagreb which is how they are portraying him.

Step down. His last 2 opponents were far better than Tom Little who is going off 4 ko losses

If Babic does take care of Little but is back out again soon after, it's a reasonable match at this stage of his pro career. Just hope Fast Eddie doesn't hype it out of all proportion

4 KO losses to some big boys that can really fornicating punch. 3 of which were Olympic medallists, the other is widely considered one of the biggest punching prospects in the game. He also lasted as long as anyone other than Kevin johnson vs Dubious and Hrgovic...

Not saying Little will win, But that version of winters, and kennedy would of also got sparked there last 4 fights if they had been in with who Tom little was in with, And probably quicker.

That's true he's been losing his last 4 to good opposition though I'm pretty confident he could take a few steps down and still be losing, I expect him once again to do that funny stagger dance he tends to do when stopped

What could make it a little bit more interesting is seeing how Babic performs against someone who knows their place, Winters and Kennedy half fancied the job, Little might not offer the same appetite to get the win but might prove trickier to catch cleanly i.e. this might go a few rounds. Will Babic still look as good after the initial onslaught ?

Prob is Little is usually knackered after a few rounds, he rarely gives himself a chance by getting in shape.

That's true, but as gregregegg points out that has been when Tom has been in with solid opposition, and those heavy punches also wear you out.

Will Babic be able to dent Little in the same way as those big hitting guys ?

post of the year above

As far as Babic v Little I doubt Little will last 2 rounds

Little probably would lose a 6 rounder to Winters and Kennedy but his weight might be the crypotnite to Babic. It may be what extends Babic past 3 or 4 rounds causing in to blow out his arse.

We always hear how Tom Little is talking and expect him to come in under 245 but it never happens. If he came in at 238 or below I’d consider a bet on him as he’d have almost 3 stone on Babic and experience.

Has big Tom thrown a spanner in the works this time because he's got himself in decent nick ?

It's still hard to take him seriously but he has shed a good few pounds by the looks of it.

Babic is rubbish but he's a good watch, pours it on from first bell. As soon as he fights someone solid he'll gas out and get pasted.

Haha, I don't mind Babic. Put a microphone in front of him and he's going to sell his fight.

When he stops trying to do what he promises then it becomes tedious, but so far he's gone right out there and bashed up his opponents.

Babic was supposedly angry with Little during the press conference hosted by Fast Eddie, but as soon as it was over he went straight over to Tom and hugged him with a smile on his face without even waiting for the cameras to stop filming

Babic stopped Little as expected, in a wild fashion. It was entertaining and Babic is a sorta throwback HW, small and brawling one. A decent win for now, but next he should face someone, who can punish for plain aggression, if he doesn't want to remain to be a can crusher.
