Hammer vs Allen Off

Hammer has tested positive for Covid-19, so the Dave Allen fight is off.

Frankly, that's probably best for Allen, if they get a opponent a bit more his level.

They’ll put it back similar to Marshall v Rankin I think.

I have to say I do want to see the fight.

Think that’s probably for the best for Allen. But now the question is will he still fight on that card? If so who? If not when?

Hammer was a good fight but risk reward was a bit weird. I think Allen should of been fighting Babic, little or zhang from the get go.. but they are all busy now. I remember him saying in an interview that Wach, Dimintrenko?, someones son and mollina were originally potential opponents. and since he has called out lennroy thomas. So im guessing it will be one of those 4/5.

Of them id rather Dim or Mollina... please not wach, too much chin not enough punch for one match up.. Id love tom schwartz, for the comedy of Allen getting a governing body top 10 spot if he won...

Thomas is in training for a fight so I reckon this to be the most likely.

I hope he fights Babic. It will be another name on the record for Babic to set up the Hrgovic fight.

I don't care about Dave Allen and his fights anymore. Babic / Hrgovic I want to see.

The first fight was competitive, the second ended on a cut, so a third fight wouldn't be the end of the world.
But it would be about the most underwhelming trilogy ever.

Rumours it’s Chris Lovejoy. 19-0 19KOs but fought nothing but cans in Mexico. Somehow ranked 15 by WBA.

Pain in the arse to find an opponent at 10 days or so notice but Jesus wept.

I got on hammer when he was paying over 4/6 or 1.70... bets refuned, fornicate that was my bet of the year I think.
Be very very interesting to see the odds of Allen vs lovejoy if that happens. Couldn’t even guess to be honest but Allen has to be decent favourite id say but if there is any value on Allen I’m on that...

Interesting match if it happens. Seen Lovejoy before and he is a trickster, a swindling art and antiques dealer who seems to get caught up in devious deals and `get rich quick' schemes. But you can't help liking Lovejoy, who has a talent for finding hidden treasures. When he's not out for himself, he uses his skills as a con man to help the less fortunate and less sneaky. Don’t write him off here.

Allen vs Lovejoy is an intriguing bout.

Lovejoy has an impressive looking record, as long as you don't look too closely.

Allen is quite limited, but has shared the ring with some good names and would also be undefeated had he fought the type of guys Lovejoy has fought.

At the very least, it should be two big strong dudes who are both there to win exchanging leather.

I suppose this is all one can expect from the lower end of today's heavyweight division.

I think the Lovejoy fight would be great, Hammer would have easily beaten Allen. Here we see an unbeaten American heavyweight KO artist.
