Tyson Fury : Wilder has lost his marbles

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has commented on recent statements by former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, who he TKO’d in February at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“I think he has lost his marbles,” Fury told Talk Sport. “First of all it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves, now someone spiked his water…it’s one of those things, eh?
“I’m not going to wait around forever.”

Yes, Wilder went nuts. He needs some psychiatric care now. He is clearly delusional and paranoidal wacko, as he finds crazy reasons for his loss and suspects his closest people in contribution to that. Lock Deontay at a cuckoo's nest, a nutcase with big right hand can be dangerous for the society!

Reminds me of how George Foreman couldn't come to terms with losing to Ali in 1974. He was devastated. He was unbeaten in 40. He plucked excuses out of the air. The ropes were loose, his drink was spiked, his food was poisoned, the count was fast...etc etc

I think most top level sports men have that mentality that on their day, they can beat anyone, and that's how they rationalise a loss as a bad day.
The best also recognise where their opponent was better and work on it.
Poor Wilder seems to be struggling with the concept that he wouldn't beat Fury on any day, and it's messing him up.
Anyone with an ounce of boxing nous saw the writing on the wall in his fights leading to the Fury fights. I wonder whether those signs were ignored or whether Wilder got to the point that he didn't want to learn anymore?

Haha I actually spat my tea out when I read the headline "Wilder sues mother claiming tainted breast milk caused skinny legs"
Now there's a sentence that in the history of mankind no one has said before. Surely this is a wind up.

good point, it's a balance ....on the one hand it's important to retain confidence, and excuses can help with that, but on the other hand ignoring your shortcomings and not working on them is a sure way to never improve or to get worse
