I want to see Crawford be in a top fight! But against who?

Beating an already damaged goods and drained Kell Brook isn't a big performance as it's very obvious. I don't see Crawford vs Pac, Spence vs Garcia winner o Porter happening from obvious reasons. So I guess the only realistic options for T.C may be fighting smaller guys from the same stable coming up to ww like Taylor, Ramirez or even Teofimo Lopez. But the question is if this thing will not tarnish T.C's boxing legacy ?
Also Crawford is in the same situation if somehow would want to move up at super ww.

i dont think Taylor and Ramirez are smaller than Crawford. But they are probably fighting each other in 2021 + maybe some mandatories so i dont think Crawford will fight them soon. I still think Arum can work it with PBC and somehow get Shawn Porter fight happen. As a fan, i will be satisfied with Yorgenis Ugas too, he is pretty underrated. Not too many high profile 147 lbs fighters in Top Rank stable, Arum must work it out somehow.

I don't think it will happen before 2022.
Right now, Spence is the only top class fighter at WW, who can be the competitive opponent for Crawford. Period.

Good Post Apollo Creed. I've been thinking about this type of stuff myself.
Yeah,Especially after hearing Ole Bob elaborating about the likelihood that Spence will duck Crawford. I can actually personally say "Maybe that's True" to that. And this is "if he can beat Garcia first",which i'm only slightly favoring Spence in they're 12/5/20 scedualed showdown bout.
With that said,it Was a bit Silly hearing Ole Bob say with surefire confidence that Crawford would beat Spence And Garcia in the same night. Geez Bob,i know you're Crawford's promoter, but still,Geez !
Also,i have to say that,if Garcia wins on 12/5/20,then you can be absolutely certain that He'll be calling out Crawford during the post-fight interviews. And it would be a "Very Adamant Level of Calling-Out" type of challenge on his part. Wheras,if Spence wins,i somehow dont see him outwardly saying anything about challenging Crawford. And if asked,he would probably just emphasize that Crawford's a Great Boxer, and they're Good Friends, and,We'll just see what's offered, and etc type of indefinite lame blabber.
So yeah, with all of this personalized internal analysis i've had very recently,i've concluded that i'll be rooting for Garcia to pull off,"A Minor Upset Victory",
![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
and Really Call-Out Crawford, ever so adamantly, and this would be Great for Boxing, for sure and certain. Other than this scenario,i Really dont see things actually getting done in the WW division,on Crawford's behalf, and like you basically said there Apollo Creed, either just hanging around WW147 to Bully JR.WW140 guys moving up,or taking a higher road and jumping up to 154 would be a Realistic scenario for Crawford's behalf. Heck,i say,go right after a title at 154,and then jump again to 160 and go for a title at that weight as well. It's a Very DoAble Scenario for Crawford,at least at this point in time.

Ugas vs Porter fight showed me all I wanted to know about Ugas. Ugas is no washed up Khan or Brook. Tbh Crawford''s best win at 147 lbs is Jose Benavidez Jr.

At 154 lbs is PBC's Jermell Charlo- the main top dog. So unless Mell moves up at 160 lbs and he vacates all his belts I'd not see T.C thinking about moving at 154 lbs.
Imo Crawford and his promoter should chase a fight with the winner of Spence vs D. Garcia fight, period.

He was close to fighting texiera. I wish the timeline was different so he could fight canelo there. Bud would have schooled him.

How so? You're so he'll bent on wiping the slate clean with every division, though I do have to give you credit for dropping andrade from your mall charlo threads after I pointed out Demetrius had no wins of note at middle a couple years back.
This is similar, benavidez was a career Jr welter.

Bob Arum and Terence Crawford will continue employing their current strategy by dishonesty pretending they’re trying to make fights against Pacquiao and Spence Jr., but no offers will ever be submitted.
Meanwhile, the ESPN pundits (namely Andre Ward and Timothy Bradley), will continue claiming that Terence Crawford is the best pound-for-pounder on the planet, whilst remaining tight-lipped about Crawford’s notoriously thin resume at 147lbs.
They’ll also bemoan the fact the PBC are “unfairly” staging in-house fights, without considering to include Crawford, and also falsely claim that Errol Spence Jr. is biding his time facing his stablemates hoping he can eventually cherry-pick a fight an old past-his-prime version of Bud.
And within the next twelve months, Crawford will extend his contract with Top Rank, whilst receiving a $3m+ guarantee per bout, and then he’ll moan about not being able to face any of the PBC guys.
Meanwhile, Crawford will continue engaging in horrendous mismatches, much akin to the Brook fight, whilst his die-hard fans will pretend he can’t get fights because he’s the “boogeyman” and the “PBC guys are far too scared to face him.”
They’ll live in denial about the fact Crawford intentionally chose the pay cheque over sporting legacy.
People might accuse me of being a “hater”, but I’ve seen quite a few ESPN videos this week whereby most of what I’ve written has already happened.

It isn’t the biggest fight for the networks, since Fox or Showtime would have to split the pot with ESPN.
And Bob Arum has already insisted that the Crawford-Spence Jr. bout must be a 50-50 split, despite Errol being the vastly more commercially popular fighter.
To be fair, Crawford’s PPV figures are absolutely dire. He’s not as big a name as you think he is.
So the Crawford-Spence Jr. fight isn’t commercially big enough to warrant the staging of a cross-promotional cross-network event.
It’s nowhere near as big as Tyson-Lewis, Mayweather-Pacquiao or Fury-Wilder.
Terence Crawford knew that legacy and money were mutually-exclusive when he extended his contract with Top Rank a couple of years ago.
He chose the $3m per fight guarantee over legacy bouts against his 147lbs peers, since Top Rank doesn’t have any big-name welterweights in their stable.
Once again, this isn’t me being a hater, I’m simply conveying a real-world fact the media and this forum discussed at length before Bud even signed his new deal with Bob Arum.
Why do people keep pretending that the political barriers don’t exist?
And why do so many individuals believe that Crawford is a commercially big-name?
Spence Jr’s next three bouts are against Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman. Errol’s schedule is fully-booked until 2022.

50/50 is a starting point. I dont know if you negotiate for a living (hunch is no)
Who says it isnt a big enough ppv?
Crawford v spence would do triple the sales of porter v spence i bet. That puts it in wilder v fury range

Why do you resort to insults when you know for a fact all the evidence, coupled with real-world events, contradicts everything you believe?
Do you want this forum to be your personal echo chamber, whereby you’re only willing to accept beliefs or opinions that coincide with your own, regardless as to whatever is happening in the real-world?
Do your own research and pay attention to Crawford’s PPV buy-rates and viewing figures!
Anyway, it doesn’t really matter, because Spence Jr’s next three bouts are against Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman.
And this means that Errol’s schedule is fully-booked until 2022.
Why do you think Fury-Wilder happened, but Spence Jr-Crawford hasn’t? IT’S BECAUSE OF MONEY!
