eastman hops - any chance of it being on the box??

Seems silly nobody is showing it, Sky have televised hokins last ... 3 fights (??) and Beeb have televised eastmans and ran a documentary on hopkins.
Any reason nobody is showing one of the biggest british fights in the last 10 years?

ive emailed thebeeb basically telling them they are hopeless if they dont show it, covering eastman fights for the past 3 years then abandoning viewer and boxer alike at the crucial hour. it sux immeasurably.

Oscar De La Hoya has no consideration for the British fans, if he fought a bum on the undercard it would be bound to be shown. lol
Wales, yes Sky have shown Hopkins' last three fights (and 4 of his last 5 in highlight shows). However, it has alot to do with who is on the undercard, Hopkins vs Joppy was on the huge DK bill and the other two fights contained Oscar on the bill.
I still believe something will be done, especially as an Eastman victory (which is a big ask) would generate more money for them. He could be making defenses of the title on PPV.

What about Woods v Hoye, is that a no no too? I rate that as a more interesting fight than the Johnson rematch.

It really is a poor state of affairs at the moment. The mere thought that this fight won't get shown proves this.

Well i've just seen on secondsout that they are gonna show some matchroom fights live. Lynes V Gallardo, so maybe they will take on some other promoters if it goes well.

They said Woods v Hoye is the NEXT match they will show on BBC which is beginning of march.
Hopkins v Eastman happens before this doesn't it in february so it doesn't look too promising.
Quite disappointing as there was inverdale saying "the next fight on the BBC is a world title fight...." My immedate reaction was "Yes Eastman v Hopkins" but unfortunately not!

Same here
I was a split second from leaping into the air with joy.
Still glad we get to see the Woods fight, but it's not the same as getting to see Hopkins - Eastman in my opinion.

You would think even if Sky and the BBC in their infinite stupidity don't show the fight, there'd be somebody with two brain cells at ITV or Channel 5 that'd realise that people would watch it.
Maybe not.

i don't think ITV have any intention of showing boxing again mate.
channel 5 probably don't have the budget for it.
