Sad news.

Roldan was a very tough and brave man who was prepared to go toe to toe with the best.

His epic clash with Hearns still remains one of the best fights I've ever seen.

On UK terrestrial too.

Jim Rosenthal's commentary is always the one that I want to hear.

We've lost another tough fighter that unfortunately many have forgotten. An excellent career dotted with wins over some top fighters in both the MW and LH division. At his best he would have been an interesting opponent for Canelo.

RIP champ.

Definately Agree with this. Also, back in 1984 when Roldan fought Hagler,he Really put it on Hagler in those first two rounds before getting Badly Thumbed in the 3rd Round. It's too bad that Roldan-Duran was never made. Imagine if Roldan and Duran went that route instead of they're unfortunate 1984 clashes with opponents that were in the definitive realms of they're ill-fated fates, courtesy of improper matchmaking, especially with having Duran taking on Hearns.

Personally,i think that Roldan-Duran likely would've been an Epic Battle of Wills, and just a Great Match Style-Wise,Much like it was with Gatti-Ward,Triple G-Canelo,and Pacqiou-Marquez. I definately think it would've wound up becomming a 3 fight Trilogy, had the promoters and matchmakers gone that route with these Two Action packed Warriors.

That's a shame, Juan was a very toughed rugged fighter.
Like others I remember his fight with Hearns very well.
He'll be missed.
