Good interview on Boxingsocial with David Price in the aftermath of Dubois' loss to Joyce.
Spoken like a gentleman without spite and balanced reasoning
A shame the pricks at Skysports couldn't show some of Pricey's class and generosity.

I don’t think you can limit it to the Sky sports pundits and presenters who have stuck the boot in.
Almost every IFL interview is saying ‘he quit let’s not mince our words.’
Carl Frampton was working for BT last night and said he quit on air.

Agreed. David Haye said the same thing. As did Peter Fury, Ben Davison, Barry Jones and others.
The guys at the YouTube channels have better realtionahips with the Sky guys which is why they’re the ones that tend be interviewed first.

Dubois will have his shot at redemption, but it's totally reasonable to say theres some question marks.
It was the interview afterward I thought was more damning. He didn't seem that bothered or fired up. There was no 'I'm gutted, I was in that fight, and wish i could have fought on. He didn't seem that bothered at all.

I've read a few time that his dad plays a huge part in his career, to the point of running his life and career. Maybe, just maybe Dubois isn't as in love with the game as his dad wants him to be.

Funny, the guy I watched the fight with, his best mate Shaun spoke to us after the fight friday night.
Hes mates with dubois old man, and he said dubois heart isnt really in it, and his old man sort of drove him into boxing.

On a side note, but related to YouTube stuff...I wish Kugan would stop with this "Edward" business when he interviews Hearn...it started off quite amusing but now after his initial introduction that's all he calls him is "Edward"...it winds me up...or show some pariety and either call fw "Frankie baby" or allegedly...everytime

See I disagree. Barry Jones and Peter Fury are not sky boys at all. In fact Barry Jones was one of allegedly faces and I think transitioned to BT.

But then again Kugan was at one point hired by allegedly for his own show.
The thing I do agree with is it ain’t good drills to be slating Dubois. The only way you may be able to have a go at him is if you’re someone like Ricky Burns who’s fought through a broken jaw for at least half a fight. Amazingly enough tho Ricky Burns isn’t slagging him off.
Also I don’t think you can have a go at Hearn for sticking the boot in given how Frank was after Dillian Whyte lost. He was quite happy to be asked as much about Dillian Whyte and talk about Dubois as up there with Dillian then wasn’t he.

I listened to Hearn and Frank’s interviews earlier. Eddie stuck the boot in a little bit but he didn’t go overboard. He criticised the matching of Dubois and asked if there was any proof of the broken eye socket.
Frank was raging though afterwards. Not sure what he expected given he actually sung taking the piss out of Whyte when he lost. He brought up every transgression he could think of about Matchroom in the past (Purdy in the sauna, even the fact that they put on Julian Jackson vs Herol Graham when Jackson couldn’t get licensed over here).

Not unlike Joshua when he Ruiz made him quit and he lost all his belts . You'd have thought he have been gutted .

I did see him on one Sky show. Not in the last few tho, I feel like that was a while back so not sure that he is signed to Sky as is being suggested. This is obviously after years and years of association with allegedly etc.
How about Mick Conlan and Nathan Gorman are they toeing the sky line?

he did quit tho. rightly or wrongly. i dont blame him, but then again i'm not the supposed future of the heavyweight division.

How many of those sticking the boot into the injured Dubois would be fawning over Mike Tyson if they got the chance? His ear bite was the shining example of quitting. More than 'no mas', more than Bellew turning away, more than Macklin staying down from GGG's bodyshot, and certainly more than Dubois.

So many have lost sight of the fact this was an eagerly anticipated fight between two unbeaten heavyweights and the kind of matchup that boxing fans & casuals constantly criticise the sport for not delivering.
Well it was delivered and without ticket sales revenue, so an excuse was ready made to avoid putting it on. It was a good fight and Britain has a new European champion
Dubois put up a good fight and lamped Joyce with the sort of punches that have blown away lesser men. Daniel bowed out during the TENTH round of a tough fight for health reasons. He was looking beaten to me by this stage, but had given a decent effort against an underrated boxer who's capable of inflicting a lot of damage to his opponents.
W@rren has gone on record in saying Dubois' socket IS broken/fractured and I hope Daniel recovers well and gets back in the ring and entertaining the fans again.
What we had was an upset which is a thrilling part of the sport and I really wish Joyce further success after turning in such an impressive performance.
I was over the moon when this fight was made and don't have any gripes with how either boxer performed, on the contrary
