This fight is going to get significantly more coverage in the press in the lead up to Wednesday night that Tim Tszyu's fight.

What are peoples thoughts on this fight and does anyone have any idea about how hard Hunt has been training?

At least it is not an exhibition fight, but it remains a novelty.

Neither fighter has any ambition to move up the Australian Heavy-weight rankings by fighting serious contenders, but just there to pick up easy money by the way of "battle of the football codes" novelty fight merry-go-round, eg Barry Hall, Sonny-Bill Williams.

Yes, clearly its just a money making exercise for both fighters (who can blame them).

How serious both are we won't know until they get into the ring and start throwing leather. There was a lot of good talking going on at the press conference today, will that be carried into the ring??

Graham Shaw who trains Paul Gallen is confident his charge will win inside the distance. Gallen should be bookies favourite but he isn’t for some reason. Hunt has looked good in training clips on TV

I would be slightly worried if I was in Mark Hunt's shoes that if the fight goes the distance the scorecards might be rather sympathetic to Gallen. Of course Hunt would be thinking he knocks Gallen out, but going on previous fights Gallen has showed a pretty good chin, he was down once on debut against Herman Ene Purcell but that was due to being caught with a shot while leaning backwards, he clearly was not badly hurt on that occasion.

Gallen wins this fight in five rounds against Hunt
His not stop punching style to head and body of the
47 year old opponent will be to much

Do you think that's that Hunt has fought for a UFC title, won a K-1 title, competed against and beat some of the world best fighters over a 20 year career, while Gallen has yet to face or beat a good fighter? Hunt's 47 but has a wealth of experience in his favour and probably only needs one punch to finish Gallen.

Gallen worked more, Hunt landed the biggest shots, but he was too inactive and got outscored, majorly in the inside hustle in the corners. Hunt was just too old and fat.

Didn’t even look like Hunt bothered training for the most part. Hunt won the 4th though by nearly knocking Gallen into next week. Was a draw IMO but if Hunts going to show up in that kind of shape I hope he doesn’t bother fighting again.

Huge effort from Gallen to take some of the shots he did and keep grinding away.

They say Hunt lost 24kg in the lead up to the fight so must have done a bit of training.

Jesus. I will say I thought he looked in decent shape at the weigh-in. I'm probably expecting a lot from a 47 year old. I was surprised he seemed so tired so early on though, especially given the activity level of the first couple of rounds.

Mark Hunt was impressive despite dropping
a six round decision to Paul Gallen. Hunt has good skills and great power for a 46 year old. He got the biggest pay packet I am told
