Who do you think did better in their respective challenges against two formidable champions ?
Your reason can be whatever ticked the most boxes for you.
Try to keep it civil

The match should never have been made in the first place...under what conceivable circumstances was Brook going to turn that fight around ?
For all of his bravery, I didn't get the impression Brook was lulling GGG into a false sense of security !

Crap thing is.. GGG and Canelo eventually fought, whilst Khan and Brook did not.

Khan I would say
And Khan Brook will no doubt fight, as a cash out pension for them and Eddie

Both done better than expected. Brooks success was more down to GGG showing him no respect and just walking him down knowing he would get him out of there. Khans speed caused Canelo trouble but he was always going to get caught at some point and it was no surprise that he got iced

The maddest thing of both fights is they would both have got more in a 50-50 than in fights they couldn’t win.

Defo Khan.......he actually won a couple of rounds and his speed was causing Canelo issues for a couple of rounds until he worked him out. Got the feeling GGG never had any issues with Brook. He knew it would be an easy night and it was. Showed Brook no respect and just kept coming forward until he broke him. The GGG v Brook fight shouldnt have never happened. Hearn has done an awful job with Brook. It was meant to be Brook v Vargas unification however when GGG v Eubank fell though Hearn knew he wouldnt make make much £ on the Brook fight so he pulled it and offered him the GGG fight instead and lets be honest that fight ruined him.

have to be brook for me , i mean if the khan fight was a 3 rounder than him ,but if it was set for 3 rds saul might ko him in the first ,as smith didnt get bashed till the 3rd either really , but championship fights are 12 rds now so i would say brook bit more competitive in trading shots

Brook-Vargas got pulled because if Brexit. The whole pound got shafted.. they were supposed to be giving Vargas a certain amount in dollars guarantee, but because the pound dropped value, they had to put more money up.

True but it would of still gone ahead if GGG v Eubank was happening. Once that fell through so did Brook V Vargas. He then matched Brook with GGG which was a much more lucrative fight but not one Brook was ever going to have any chance of winning.

Yeh. GGG-Brook was a sell.
The Brook-Vargas wasn’t gonna do many guys. But it was to sell the Sheff Utd stadium.
He had his stadium fight eventually against Spence. That did around 200k buys. Imagine what Brook-Vargas would have done.

Definitely Khan for me. I was at the Canelo fight and he was way better than I expected in that and was well ahead at the time of the stoppage.

That's a nice feather in the cap being there in person for the Khan v Canelo clash
Amir was at his courageous best against Saul in what was a, let's be honest, hopeless task !
Terribly outweighed to ensure he had zero chance, Khan used his incredible speed to rack up the points before being put to the sword. Despite his knockers, he made his supporters proud even in defeat because Khan was absolutely going all out for the win.

He was behind when he got KO'D.

Neither was going to win but Brook did miles better even standing and having a bit of a go at GGG and landed some good shots....... he also finished on his feet

I was so impressed with Khan's performance against Canelo before he got slotted. He was doing great.

The only ones who had Canelo in front in that fight were the judges ironically

Granted but when Canelo is fighting I don’t care what the judges say

You're actually completely wrong given the context of this thread, which has asked us to evaluate performances. Given everyone bar those judges and possibly Stevie Wonder saw Khan ahead of Alvarez at the time of the stoppage, that's critical to assessing how good his performance was in reality. If you follow your flawed logic then any fighter's performance can only be assessed on the basis of the scorecards

My point been at the time they thought Alvarez was the one doing better ..... right or wrong. I though Khan was boxing well just as Brook was but always thought it was a matter of time for both

Fair enough

And agree on the 'matter of time' in both cases. You could see Alvarez was starting to time Khan over the rounds and inch ever closer...
